When I asked about my small combo order, as I selected medium combo on the screen, the employee was cold and nasty toward me. The bonus jack sandwich was also missing pickles.
Will avoid this location in the future.

Order Type: Drive-thru
Subject: Disrespectful and Threatening Employee Behavior
I visited the Jack in the Box at 4815 Voltaire St, San Diego, CA 92107 on Saturday, October 4th, 2025 around 9:30 PM through the drive-thru.
I ordered tacos, two chicken sandwiches, stuffed jalapeños, a large fries, and a Monster Mozzarella stick. After waiting about 7 minutes, our food came out cold and missing the large fries.
We went through the drive-thru twice to fix the issue. The employee, Jose, insisted we hadn’t ordered fries—even though he would have heard the order through his headset—and treated us like we were a burden. When I told him, “You don’t need to talk to customers like that; you’re being disrespectful. You saw us come through twice and heard us explain the same issue,” he continued to argue instead of apologizing.
When I said I would file a complaint, he followed me outside, mocked me, danced around, and repeatedly said “woot woot what’s up.” This behavior was humiliating and made me feel threatened. No customer should ever be treated that way.
Jose clearly needs retraining on professionalism, respect, and how to handle customers without escalating or humiliating them. I’m requesting that this incident be reviewed and addressed to ensure it does not happen again.
Make sure to ask for napkins. Especially when getting something with chili on it… Like who would stay clean eating this?
