We found Jack&Harry while looking for a place between Plano and Duncanville that was close to halfway. We had never been here but the reviews were good.
The restaurant has character and New Orleans charm.
We shared a number of appetizers, Oysters Rocke, calamari, heavenly bread and onion rings. All of them were tasty and well prepared but the Lobster Bisque was other worldy good.
My wife ordered Barbecue Shrimp, which was tasty and had a great sauce.
My grilled salmon with fries and salad left a lot to be desired. The fish lacked flavor.
All in all still a good place to eat at.

Stopped in on a busy Saturday night while walking by. They were fully booked and the bar was packed, but the hostess let me know a table was available for about an hour and a half if I was okay with the time limit. I really appreciated the transparency and the option, so I stayed.
The ambiance feels like stepping into a classic Creole restaurant—very New Orleans, from the décor to the menu. I was short on time and ordered the cold seafood platter and stuffed mushrooms. The seafood platter was fine, but the stuffed mushrooms were the standout. Crispy, cheesy on top with a hearty, flavorful filling—delicious.
The menu is full of Cajun favorites, and I don’t think I got the full experience on this visit. Looking forward to coming back and trying more.

We tried this for lunch at it was good. A little bit of New Orleans meets Dallas. The bar area is large, with plenty of seating. The table we had was comfortable in the dining room. Our server was attentive. The deviled eggs were a great appetizer. My wife and I tried the lunch special. She had the broiled redfish and I had the shrimp po boy. I opted for the gumbo side option. Everything had great flavor. It took a while for the food to come out for every table that day, but other than that we had a good time. We will be back to try more options.

My wife and I visited this restaurant this past week on a Friday at 5:00pm. We went earlier than our normal dinner time because we had plans after. It was easy to make a reservation and they seated us as soon as we stepped in the door.
The positives:
Very clean and classy Louisianan vibe and food.
Extremely professional waiter and staff members
Beautiful dinning area with dim lighting at dinner time
The negatives:
Food was bland and had off tastes. Steak sauce was sweet for some reason. The appetizer was not the freshest which is a bit concerning when eating raw meat.
The food took forever to come out. Around 15 min for the appetizer while having no bread nothing on the table. The main course took 10 min after appetizers.
The music was a bit too loud for casual talking volume.
Honestly, I’d give this place 3.5/5 however I cannot so 3/5 it is. I would recommend if you want a good experience and willing to sacrifice a bit on the food quality and taste.

Visited on my birthday for dinner and enjoyed the atmosphere. Don’t really recommend their chicken and sausage gumbo; tried the Jackrabbit and had to send it back bc it wasn’t balanced at all; have had better creme brûlée.
When restaurants tout New Orleans, even subtly, I know better so I only ordered a few apps for my meal and he ordered the parm crusted snapper.
Best part of the meal was my oysters and his baked potato.

Came to visit my daughter and she brought us to this lovely establishment. The atmosphere is old school New Orleans vibe and you feel hip just being there. The cocktails were a highlight of the meal! The “mini-tinis” are the bomb and the spicy marg was delicious. The Oysters Rockefeller and the BBQ shrimp are a must try. For mains, the filet and the snapper were also delicious. The only drawback was the noise level. Difficult to hear the person across the table.

Fun restaurant that has a New Orleans vibe. We really enjoyed the chicken and sausage gumbo, red fish, and the steak frites. All three dishes were packed full of flavor. We also got the shrimp poboy but didn’t enjoy it as much.
If you like whiskey, order the sazerac drink. It’s not on the menu but tastes really close to the real thing made in New Orleans.

Jack & Harry’s is a gem. Fabulous service from Margaret, providing excellent descriptions of items on the menu, recommendations were spot on. On a girls day we stopped here for happy hour amazing crafted martins for $10, tried the blue and gold with blue cheese olives, this brought me to life, also tried their bees knees martini delicious. I came specifically for gumbo and both their sausage and chicken, and shrimp lump crab gumbo are delightful. Oysters here fresh and presented in the most beautiful way. If you’ve been wanting to dine here this your sign, make the trip. Friendliest atmosphere with an incredible staff.

Although the Caesar salad had good flavour and the oyster Rockefeller was lovely, the meal was only okay. The bisque was lukewarm warm with cold chunks of lobster, and the French onion filet was not very flavourful. I expect more for this price!
