This place has been around for as long as I can remember and it’s always been amazingly good! Great BBQ sandwiches, excellent hush puppies and everything else! I highly recommend checking it out if you are in Farmville and want some good food!

This place have been around for a long time. The people here love this place. Rarely do I go in because pork is not my thing to consume. But it seems to keep the local people coming again and again. I have tried the turkey barbecue but it did not live up to my palate or my exquisite taste. Hushpupies are uniquely favored though.

Very good BBQ. Only wish they would add crispy skin. Otherwise very tasty. Can taste the smoky flavor altho not overwhelming. Three side choices: collards, slaw and boiled potatoes. Hush puppies need to be fried fresh bc they’re served cold. Good service tho. Clean, take out only, cash only.

My 2nd favorite bbq behind Allen and Son in CH. The bbq is very clean and has no noticeable smoke flavor, but it has a very rich pork flavor. Their sauce is one of the best Eastern sauces. Not very spicy, but kind of tangy, and it does not overwhelm the pork. The only other menu options are bbq chicken, collards, slaw, and boiled potatoes. The boiled potatoes and collards are the best I’ve had, though the yellow slaw isn’t anything special. Hushpuppies and tea are both perfect.

Stopped in for dinner on my way back from Greenville. Literally defines the term “hole in the wall” restaurant. The barbecue was among the best I’ve had, but not quite at the level of Skylight or Grady’s. Loses a star because of the low-ish (<90) inspection score.

Don;t let appearance of building fool you. Great BBQ . Does have a smokey taste that makes it even better, Sauce has a bit of a bite to it but is not over powering. Staff was very friendly. Will go back next time I pass thru.
