We got the Shocker, and made it a double for $4.49. It was absolutely delicious, with a great spice level that hung around on our lips and mouth for a while.
The beer list is available through a QR code, and is pretty extensive. We tried the Jack’s Sleestak IPA, which was tasty, hoppy, and smooth. But the star was the draft “Das Yummy” which was a key lime sour. We’ve been hunting for a good sour for years, and this definitely fit the bill. Kind of a cross between a beer and a Margarita… a Beergarita? A Margabeer? A Margbeerita?
Great vibe!
We got the Greg Brady burger and the Shocker burger. The Greg Brady was really good – we’ve had a much more expensive mac n cheese burger before that is no better than this. Our server warned us that they Shocker was genuinely hot and they were right. It was great too, but the habaneros are strong.
We also got a few fried oreos which were superb – better than at a fair.
Service was bad in two ways. One less significant one is that I asked for sauce on the side for one burger instead of on the burger, but she rang me up for an extra 50 cents. More significant is that our server totally dissapeared not long after we got our food. Another server ended up checking on us twice and brought our bill when we asked. Hopefully she got the tip instead.
Since we were already there, my husband wanted to try a new to us burger joint.
We tried Burger Up first….no where to park. Then we tried Gabby’s…no where to park. Next up was Jack Browns(this was just the order they popped upon a Google search)
Finally! There was parking when we got there, though barely.(getting out of our spot took about a five point turn. )
Now to the MEAT of this review. We are so glad we couldn’t find parking anywhere else!
That Waygu burger is amazing! The flavor of the beef is, to quote my husband, “ridiculously good!” Also, the fries were great too. Our server was on point, and made sure we had what we needed, was friendly without being overbearing. And….believe it or not, we walked out of there for around $40.00, (two people)including soft drinks. (Not including tip)
This place will be worth braving another trip into Nashville soon.
