This is a place we always stop at when in Charlottesville. Great selection of beers. Burgers are fantastic. Step out of your comfort zone and order one with stuff on it you wouldn’t normally get. Burger sauce is great for dunking fries in. It can be busy at times and and loud, but it the type of place you’d expect that from. Have fun reading everything on the wall in the bathroom

Myself, my partner, and our son stopped by here while in town for a drink and some fries. We are from RVA, and while the RVA location sells Banquet on Tap I would travel the 2 hrs to come back here. The fries were AMAZING, the sauce?? Amazing. We weren’t hungry enough for burgers but they smelled greats Our server was really sweet and patient (not many people bring a 6 year old to a bar even tho it was 6pm) and I regret not getting her name. There was mishap with the check at the end being switched with another table. Alrhough we brought it up out of concern for their tabs and numbers in their system (we didn’t notice we were charged and if we did it wouldn’t have been a big deal) she swiftly fixed the issue and was sincerely apologetic even though it was a simple mistake and it happens. I just wanted to thank her and let her know that she’s doing a great job and we can’t wait to come back

I loved the welcoming dive bar atmosphere! Learned a little about notching, drinking 100 different beers, and getting your little picture taken to hang in the bar. Oh, and don’t forget their special sauce! It was SO good on my, as requested, crispy overdone sweet potatoes fries! I tried to squeeze the recipe out of him but to no avail. He did however, give up 3 ingredients. The burger was top notch but a bit towards the slider size. I wish I wasn’t traveling thru so I could go back.

Truly shocked by how good this burger was. It was a good mix of cheese and raw peppers with the sauce. Burger was a bit well done but it worked. Great vibes and the deep fried Oreo was to die for.

Absolutely delicious burgers. I can’t remember the name of mine but it was the cream cheese and jalapeño jelly burger. It was phenomenal. Fat brick of cream cheese and jelly oozing over the edges.

I had the “Chiplet” another person had the “Shocker”…Service A++ Loads of Craft Beers on tap our Server was very knowledgeable about the Brews..indoor and patio dining . We’ve been here twice in recent weeks. We stopped in for our first time a couple weeks ago when we were walking by because it smelled too good to pass up. It’s our new ‘Oh, we’re going to be in Charlottesville? I know where we’re getting lunch’ place.
Food is immaculate. Bare basics delicious burgers. The mac and cheese is great. Everything is great.
The folks there are always friendly. The atmosphere is a+ if you want a place that falls into an ‘everyone’s welcome hometown dive bar’ vibe. And I mean dive bar with so much love. If you’re not a good human who likes good food, this place isn’t for you.
We’ll definitely be back.

Excellent food. I had the shocker burger. It had a kick for sure, but not overwhelming and great flavour. The burger initially seemed on the small side, but with an order of fries, was actually just right. The interior is a bit on the noisy side for me, but that’s a me-ism. The service was outstanding; perfect level of attentive without being intrusive, and very friendly.
