First time visiting Jack Allen’s at this location. I was not disappointed and will return when I’m in the area.

We arrived around 4 pm, and parking was ample in this time frame. Just know when we were leaving around 6:30 pm, parking was difficult to find.

We entered through the main entrance, which was the two double doors in the picture. The hostess asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside, and the group opted to sit out on the patio, which is which is covered. Once seated, we were quickly approached by our server, Greg. Our server took our drink orders, and provided and overview of the specials.

Our drinks arrived, and we ordered. Each group split the entrée. One was the chicken sandwich with sweet potato french fries, the other being shrimp with pasta (from the specials). Both entrées were tasty and just enough.

We leftbroom for dessert and ordered the strawberry & blueberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream.

Overall, and good visit, good service and good food.

I hope that if you decide to visit that your experiences is good or better than mine.

Queso and guac were standard. Fried green tomatoes were fried to a point at which the tomato disappeared. Horseradish crusted salmon was recommended medium rare- order rare to medium rare- served well done. It was said to come with seasoned veggies (spinach mix). There was no sign of green vegetables on the plate, only onions, peppers and overcooked mushrooms. I requested a salad instead and it was served 30 minutes later after everyone was finished eating, dressed with ranch instead of on the side. Our server said that many people were having issues despite it not being a busy night for them. I understand we had a large table but this was pretty disappointing compared to my last meal at Jack Allen’s.

Jack Allen’s Kitchen has been a go-to spot for me since 2010, and its consistency over the years is what keeps me coming back. Whether you’re grabbing a quick brunch or settling in for a laid-back dinner, this place never misses.

The margaritas are strong, fresh, and perfectly balanced—one of the best you’ll find in town. And if you’re more of a brunch fan, their Bloody Marys are just as impressive—loaded, flavorful, and exactly what a weekend calls for.

The menu is packed with delicious options that showcase bold Texas flavors with a Southern twist. The breakfast sandwiches are always on point, especially when paired with their fluffy biscuits or house-made migas—comfort food done right.

Above all, what sets Jack Allen’s apart is their consistency. The food is always fresh, the service is warm and attentive, and you can count on a satisfying experience every single time. After more than a decade, they’re still delivering like they did on day one.

Highly recommend.

I didn’t like the food. I ordered “slow braised beef enchiladas”. The lentils was extremely salty. The baked potato was extremely salty. French fries seems like consisted of salt also.
The rest of the dish was just fat with oil and tiny quantity of meat. I didn’t get it.
The burger had sweet (wth?!) bun. And zero sauces inside.
Everything was edible but definitely not enjoyable.

Alyssa served us this evening and she was lovely. This place always has the best service and great food. I’m a regular Killer Cheeseburger orderer but my family loves to try the variety of food they have here. Even when it’s busy, they make sure you are taken care of. Be never had a bad experience here. Thank you for the 5 star service consistency.

Great service from Brooke – went with friends and each couple split a salad & entree. They even brought extra plates. Both indoor and outdoor seating. Great shrimp and wedge salad. They gave us complimentary tastes of their homemade pimento cheese – it was good. Frozen margaritas were strong.

I absolutely love this place! It’s been one of my favorites over the years. There’s always great food and even better service! The Twisted Cobb Salad with beef tenderloin is my go-to here, and Johnny G takes really great care of me. He’s very attentive, kind, and warm.

I’ve been coming to Jack Allen’s for over a decade and it continues to be one of my favorite places, and one of my go-tos when I come back to visit ever since moving away from Austin. I’ve always had a special experience, but after all of these years, I haven’t been inspired to write a review until yesterday’s dinner when our server, Tasha, provided SUCH EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE I WILL NEVER FORGET!!! in short, I always ordered the Gorgonzola tomato pesto ravioli as my main (literally since high school), it’s nostalgic for me and tastes like home, but I guess recently JA removed it from their menu (so sad!!!) but I understand menus over time change. Last night was my first time discovering this and I was DEVASTATED. Not only was Tasha so lovely, attentive, and hilarious, but she also managed to convince the chef to MAKE THE RAVIOLI SO I COULD HAVE IT (likely for the last time). I literally almost cried- this was so special and thoughtful from both her AND THE CHEF that evening, I can’t thank them enough!!!! Jack Allen’s continues to provide exceptional dining experience and their staff continues to go above and beyond!!! Thank you Tasha and chef ❤️

Came here for dinner last night as we were in town for the last weekend of Spring Break. We sat on the patio and it was perfect. Nice breeze and a beautiful sunset. Our server was Greg L and he was TOP NOTCH! Greg had such a great personality and all four of our orders came out perfect. The only complaint I have is the parking lot is very small and tight for us with big Texas trucks. Other than that, we all enjoyed our meals and will definitely be back next time we are in town.
