Jacaranda Pizza has been family owned and operated since 1978, servicing the Plantation community for over 40 years. We are an Italian family restaurant serving pizza, pasta, chicken, veal, fish and other grilled items. We have nightly off-the-menu specials as well as a full liquor bar. Nothing ends a visit better than enjoying a cappuccino or espresso and some Italian desserts such as, cannolis or tiramisu.
Straightforward Italian mains, pizzas & calzones are dished up at this relaxed Italian eatery.

I’m not one to complain. I always start with this. However i do try and keep things truthful. I’ve been ordering from jacaranda for probably 4 years now but tonight might have been the last time. Unfortunately i was greeted by the pizza maker on the phone with “what do you need?” I don’t take things personally , however when i got there to pick up my food (pizza, spaghetti & meatballs) the pizza maker rolls his eyes at me when i give him the number. He didn’t say one word to me , i just paid and left. Shouldve known from the start, but got home and the pizza was toasted. I like a good undercarriage, but this… it was to much. Between the attitude , eye roll, and then the food. It just left a sad but bad taste in my mouth. Unfortunately, my time ordering from here is coming to an end. I miss it back when the owner was making the pizza’s , taking orders and smiled when people came in. Oh well… i guess I’ll go to little Mike’s and pay for an overpriced pizza there.

Rudest people you can meet,
Ordered the dinner baked ziti and the dinner penne allavodka. They gave me the lunch sized baked titi instead of the dinner, I called and instead of apologizing about the mistake the guy was a huge jerk and wanted to tell me this is how they do it. Like pal, I get this all the time of that were the case why would I call? I order from this place twice a week sometimes more, ill NEVER do so again. What a joke, you can clearly see side by side the mistake. Dont waste your money they are tantamount to scammers

Lasagna meat was seasoned, sauce not enough. Garlic rolls were crunchy on outside soft inside. Meatballs were large and seemed to have too much filler. Salad was fresh. Cashier stared at me while I waited, maybe not use to diverse customers.

Nothing drives me more nuts than paying for food that I could have done better at home. Ordered take-out baked ziti. The pasta is brown, white hair in the food?? This is disgusting. Are they no longer using fresh pasta???The sauce tastes sour and the 2 slices of overcooked provolone thrown on the top should have stayed in the kitchen. Pure waste of money, won’t ever return. None of this is worth eating, looks more like slop.

I drove past this place, and wanted to give it a chance. It boggles my mind that anyone can rate this place highly or call it authentic. The sauce tastes like it can from a can, and the rest of my meal had no flavor. I feel bad rating this place so harshly, but I feel robbed. Even the garlic rolls were terrible. Not doughy or fluffy. They were hard and honestly reminded me of soda bread. You’re better off buying a frozen Italian meal from Publix.

I used to go to dinner at this restaurant at least once a month. Food was good and the service supper friendly. Just this Saturday I took my family there and food, service and atmosphere was terrible. I usually order pizza with my salad. The pizza came out first with the other appetizers and I thought this was weird. I was hungry so I ate the pizza without my salad. I asked about my salad and said I didn’t want it anymore. I got the evil eye from the waitress and she still brought the salad. Isn’t the salad supposed to come before your meal? Anyway, while waiting for salad,I saw the other waitress walking in with a bag of groceries, taking about salad, so they didn’t have salad? Waitress should have said something. I saw the same waitress that came from the market handling the salad with her bare hands without washing it prior. I also noticed that another waitress put the garlic rolls in the over also using her bare hands. The restaurant looked dirty and empty. I thought this was weird. Lastly, we paid and included a tip and as we were walking out one of the waitress mocked us by saying, she deserved an Oscar for dealing with us. I, my mother in law and granny had stomach aches after eating there that day. I’m definitely not going back.
****response to owner: You replied as Jacaranda Restaurant and pizzeria.
It seems like you encourage all your employees not to wash their hands. You probably do the same. No one is stupid enough to believe they are reviewing the wrong place. BBB is next….

Food was just okay. Waitress Jen was unfriendly, didn’t smile once! At a customer no less! It’s important and makes a difference. I told her my neighborhood Italian restaurant that I’d been going to for years just closed down and I was in search of another Italian restaurant I could patronize. No response. I found it to be an unfriendly environment. I did notice the waitress being friendly towards an older (balding) man and figured he must be the owner (definitely not a customer) as he seemed to be overseeing. She actually smiled at him and was laughing, so I don’t think she was just having a bad day. The decor was decent, but the coldness from the staff negated whatever the decor had to offer. I’m still searching for my next favorite Italian restaurant that is relatively in my area.

After living in Plantation for seven years, I decided to try Jacaranda Restaurant and Pizzeria for the first time, and what a delightful experience it was! The ambiance of the place was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed meal.
The highlight of my visit was the exceptional service. Our server was the epitome of hospitality, making us feel incredibly welcome with her attentive and friendly demeanor.
As for the food, it was a comforting reminder of classic New York home cooking. The calzone I ordered was wonderfully prepared, stuffed with just the right balance of flavors. The bread rolls served alongside were fresh and delicious, making them a perfect start to the meal. To top it off, the tiramisu was a sweet treat – rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced.
Jacaranda Restaurant and Pizzeria has definitely won me over, and I am already looking forward to my next visit. It’s great to have such a gem in our neighborhood!

Food was good. Started off with a Chef Salad which is big enough for 2 people. Also Ordered a half dozen garlic rolls and a Medium Pizza Fantasia.
It is true what other reviewers are saying about it being a little outdated but the food is good, at least what I ordered. I have not tried other things on the menu yet. I do intend to come back.
Gave 4 stars for service because our server would disappear for long periods at a time.

Being from NYC, this place makes being homesick a little less traumatic – Great food and pretty good prices for this area since everything so expensive so I consider this a bargain and I get some really good food !! I haven’t had a bad dish yet !!!
It’s always hot and fresh and delicious. I recommend it with five stars all the way around the staff service and of course the yummy food. !!
