I recently visited this Indian restaurant and ordered their chicken thali but it was an absolute disappointment. The food was utterly bland—completely lacking the vibrant flavors one expects from Indian cuisine. Pieces of chicken in curry were chunky and utterly tasteless. The chicken curry tasted as if no spices were used at all, leaving it dry and unappetizing. Rice tasted very stale. The tea they served was cold and far from fresh. I was not even able to finish the meal. The meal looked rushed. Presentation was nothing like the display on their website which is quite misleading. This place is far from authentic, and I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a proper Indian meal. Save your money and find a better option!

Went here with family in town for the holidays. Everyone got something different and everything was excellent. Food was flavorful and well spiced. A 3-4 on the spice level seems adequate. Staff was friendly and service was quick and accurate.

The place was beautiful, clean and service was also good but the food didn’t taste good at all. My experience was not good as I was expecting the dish to be very flavorful. It was my first and also last visit. I hardly give feedback but today I was compelled to do. I am sorry about that.

We had an opportunity to dine and have a custom event here in Jaalsa – I was blown away with the taste. Each dish was very authentic and a must visit place

The lunch special is the absolute highlight of Jaalsa!!! The veg/non-veg thali lets you try a bit of everything AND comes with Naan. Unfortunately, we were seated in the back room where the music was way too loud for noon on a Sunday & our waitress misheard some orders. Everything was handled gracefully & I would come again and maybe ask to sit in the front room.

It was so clean and pretty in here. The server was very sweet, and our food came out pretty quickly. It was SO good. Server kept me from ordering the same appetizer and entree, which I didn’t realize I was doing, and I mention it because a lot of people would just let you waste your money.

It was our first time trying Restaurant. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. They were out of Aloo Tikki, and when we asked for tea, the receptionist said they were out of that too — which is a basic item that every restaurant usually has. She mentioned they were short-staffed.
The food was just okay, and when we asked for medium spice, it came out way too spicy, so we couldn’t eat much. I might think twice before coming back.

Worst experience ever. I ordered Chicken Biryani and they sent ONLY rice with zero chicken. This is completely unacceptable. On top of that, this is not the first time — previously when I ordered Chicken Pulao, it tasted old and not fresh at all, like it was from the previous day. Clearly the restaurant does not maintain quality or check orders before sending them out. Very disappointing and a complete waste of time.

Helpful staff, affordable menu, delicious food. Cute decor, but switching out the harsh cold daylight bulbs for a warmer color could really help make the place more cozy and romantic.

Another fine Indian restaurant to adorn Springfield, ILs landscape. Their food holds true to traditional Indian cuisine- flavorful, with the option of ordering it mild, medium, or hot- as far as spices are concerned. That, and outstanding customer service makes for a wonderful dining experience!
