Spacious eatery serving up traditional Korean dishes, plus Korean-style Chinese entrees.

I was pleasantly surprised. We were seated immediately and I noticed that they had Coca-cola and that gave them 5 stars in my book! There is an extensive menu and everything is explained in English in case you do not speak Korean. The pre appetizers were good to start. There was kim-chi, tofu, broccoli, fish cakes, seaweed and cucumber and bean sprouts. The kim-chi was delicious! I didn’t try the fish cakes, but hubby said it was good. The other items were also good. We ordered steamed dumplings which were good and I ordered the small shrimp sacheon tangsuyuk–which was a sweet/sour shrimp with some vegetables. It was not too spicy, just enough. I really enjoyed it. Hubby got buchu japchae–pork. It was also good and came with steamed buns that were really good too! Daughter got a hot stone pork bibimbap and she really enjoyed it. Then, for dessert we got mochi. I got vanilla chocolate chip and they got chocolate. I think this was the first time I got mochi and I really like it. I could have eaten more than one, but it was a perfect sized ending to a delicious dinner. The serving staff were very friendly and also very helpful when we had questions. I will definitely go back again.

Ja Kum Sung is a hidden gem for anyone craving truly authentic Korean cuisine. Every dish I’ve tried has been incredibly flavorful and clearly made with care, capturing the rich, traditional taste you’d expect from a great Korean restaurant. What really sets Ja Kum Sung apart, though, is its selection of Korean Chinese dishes—something that’s surprisingly hard to find in this area. It’s a rare treat and absolutely worth exploring on the menu.
The restaurant itself is clean and welcoming, and even the bathroom is noticeably well-maintained, which is always a plus. Service is quick and efficient without feeling rushed, making the whole dining experience smooth and enjoyable.
If you’re looking for delicious, authentic Korean food with the added bonus of Korean Chinese specialties, Ja Kum Sung is definitely worth a visit.

This is one of my all time favorite places to eat. The food is authentic and flavorful.
Made with love. I love coming to try new foods and the staff takes care of you. When eating the banchan we were offered more. Sue even gave us a big handful of candy at the end of our meal. I love bringing people here when I’m craving korean food. 11/10, i love this place.

My grilled fish was served to me with the guts still inside. I cut into it and black sludge from the intestines poured out. It tasted disgusting. When I brought it up to the server, she laughed and told me to order the mackerel next time. I asked her to take if off the bill and she took it back, then asked if I wanted another fish. When I politely declined, she laughed again. She laughed a lot and it made me uncomfortable, like she was making fun of me? Turns out, she didn’t take it off the bill. It’s not normal to leave the innards and intestines in the fish as it has bacteria and higher chance of parasites. The way she handled it made me feel gaslit. It’s a disappointment that happened because the rest of the food was good and the other servers were nice.

Came based upon high reviews on Google. The restaurant did not disappoint. The Haemul-pajeon (seafood pancake) appetizer was delicious. My daughter had the pork bulgogi and it was full of flavor with a nice hint of spiciness. The LA Kalbi was tender and flavorful. The portions were generous and it felt like I got my monies worth. The service was good and attentive. Definitely would recommend this place and I plan to stop by again when we’re in the area.

This Korean restaurant is outstanding! I love the menu item, B3, Galbi Hot Stone Bibimbap, but everything on their menu is excellent. I usually get an appetizer of Edamame, Steamed dumpling, and Vegetable Tempura. The wonderful smell you get of fine food being cooked and eaten sets your appetite as you walk in.

First time dining-in here. Very authentic Korean food, though a bit on the pricier side, all the I got was really good. Service was okay, nothing to note. Atmosphere was very nice, I really like their tables. Good for groups, a date, or by yourself. I can’t wait to come back to try other dishes in the menu.

My family and I switched to getting delivery and take-out from here when we don’t want to dine-in or travel to other Korean restaurants for Korean food. It’s very authentic and tasty.
My only gripe is how expensive everything on the menu has gotten and the notable price increases for some of the more popular items. You also have to pay extra for lettuce wraps and ssamjang which makes no sense if you’re ordering bbq meat like pork belly, for delivery for example. If you have the option to get Korean food from other authentic restaurants in the state, I would recommend other places like the ones near HMarts/Lottes on Route 40, but this place is great if it’s the option most convenient for you like nearest to your location.
Again, tasty food, but too pricey for the portion size and for your convenience.
