Great place I found to meet between Austin and Katy with my children. We had a brisket sandwich, a meat plate that sampled brisket sausage and ribs, and I had a loaded baked potato which was delicious. Smoke meats had a great flavor, moist, and all of the sides were also very good. We look forward to being back. Owners and staff were all very friendly and kind. They have a great drive-thru, it reminded me of the old Beverage Barn in Houston.

This place is my official new favorite BBQ place. My husband and I moved here from Alabama back in April, and we love us some BBQ. We have been hunting for a good place and we have tried a bunch, but JW Arnold’s is the BOMB.
We had the brisket sandwiches, green beans and potato salad. The brisket is cooked to perfection, it’s tender and has an incredible flavor, the sauce they put on the sandwich is awesome too, it is the best brisket sandwich I have eaten since I moved here. The potato salad was amazing one of the best I’ve ever had, and the green beans were off the charts too.
Their sweet tea is A1, I usually don’t like getting tea places because it usually isn’t to my liking but this sweet tea is perfect.
The restaurant was very clean, and super cute. It has a great vibe. The owner was there and was very friendly and welcoming, he even chatted with us while we was waiting for our food.
Overall it was a 5 star experience, and we will definitely be back to try more of their delicious BBQ. You definitely won’t regret stopping by!

Our new favorite barbecue!! Between three orders, we tried the chopped brisket, ribs, chicken, sausage and pulled pork. All were delicious!! Joe and Reuben, the owner and pit master, were welcoming and helpful. Thanks for a great experience!

First of all, the BBQ is PHENOMENAL, the ribs are fall off the bone, juicy, and full of incredible flavor. The brisket, is very tender, and very flavorful. Portion size is perfect. The potato salad is the best I’ve ever had, and the pinto beans are great. Make sure to get the home brewed sweet tea, thank me later. Now on to the smaller details.
This restaurant is in an old drive through liquor shop, but don’t let that discourage you, the restaurant is very clean, and a great atmosphere. The tables are always clean, the food is very fast, the air is at a comfortable temperature. Seriously, they’ve nailed every aspect. Now onto the owner. This guy could not be friendlier, every time I’ve come in, he’s always been in a great mood, and ready to serve. He’s knowledgeable about the town, and will hold a great conversation with you. Seriously, he couldn’t be nicer. He has a staff of equal hospitality and they are always speedy to fit your needs as a customer. I rarely find a place where the owner cooks the food, prepares the food, serves the food, and rings in your tab. He’s an incredibly hard worker and I wish nothing but great things for him and his business. Do yourself a favor and go get some of this great BBQ.

I ordered a two-meat plate, sliced brisket and ribs. The brisket was tender, juicy and literally fell apart when the fork touched it. Very good. However, so disappointed in the ribs! The meat was tough as shoe leather and not juicy at all. I almost wondered if they were even fully cooked. I could have been there too early, or a bad day for ribs. Therefore, I will try again, but will want to see the ribs before I actually order them.

I stopped in and sampled three meats plus slaw, green beans, potato salad, and the pinto beans. The brisket was amazingly good. I got a pulled pork sandwich with slaw and sauce for the road, simply outstanding. I would compare these guys favorably with the classic resturant, “Southern Soul BBQ” in Saint Simonds Island, GA. They are famous in southern GA for the best BBQ you can get in those parts.

Always enjoy JW Arnold’s BBQ. Went first two weekends they were open – tried chicken, ribs, brisket and sausage. It was all great. Checkin was perfect and ribs were amazing. Brisket and sausage was good as well.

My family of 15 walked in at noon on a Saturday, and were treated to an amazing meal with incredible hospitality. Joe and Ruben had a ridiculous task on their hands, but pulled it off like pros. The food is unbelievable. The atmosphere is perfectly informal Texas, definitely without trying to be. We loved our experience. Thank you!

Stop and eat here, you will not be disappointed!!! The brisket & ribs are amazing – the baked potato with sliced brisket is SO DELICIOUS!!! The drive thru is convenient and when we dine inside, it’s always very clean. To top it all off, the staff are so helpful and very friendly!!! We love this place!
