The place is big—had lots of room, and has an outdoor/woodsy decor. It was clean; the restrooms were clean also. The music and TVs were at a low sound level which was great.
They had no hard ciders other than Angry Orchard, so I ordered a Moscow Mule. The waiter brought me a ginger beer. Just a ginger beer. I was a bit confused, but I just rolled with it and said it was fine.
I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with no bun. I was never asked about what type of side I wanted, even though the menu says the burgers come with sides. Our food came pretty quickly (there were 6 of us in our group). When the waiter came back, I asked about my side, and he didn’t really have an explanation. A few minutes later another employee brought out a side of French fries, which was fine, but I would have preferred one of the other options.
All of the food we ordered was good and served warm.
When it was time to pay, the waiter came back and told us our totals we never saw the actual bills. This is always a little disconcerting to me.
Overall, it was a good—not great—experience. I don’t like to call out staff, but I think our waiter needed more training.
They serve Heggies Pizza so that was a treat in of itself. The menu looked like it was not over full of “all” the stuff. Just the usual offerings for a bar and grill.
The log cabin style decor is fitting for the local, with a clean atmosphere that’s bright and inviting. Lunch bartender was on point, friendly and efficient.
