Hands down one of the best places to eat in Columbia. When we first came in they said there would be an approximate 15 minute wait and got my phone number. I was text a link with my place in line, and 5 minutes later we got our booth. Lenaysa waited on us, and was on top of it! She was very knowledgeable and friendly. She is a great part of their team. After ordering we received our food within 10 minutes. Everyone was extremely satisfied with what they ordered. They run neck and neck with the Hooters burgers, and that says a lot! It’s a great atmosphere, music playing, but you can still hold a conversation at your table. We will now be regulars!

The food , however,was mediocre at best.It was date night for us and we wanted to give this venue a shot. We ordered a filet and ribeye. The ribeye was ok, nothing spectacular and very thin. The filet was not a filet ( see the pick)It looked more like a chuck cut as my ribeye looked much better than the filet. My wife ordered the blueberry cosmopolitan and it tasted more like cough syrup. It would help if the cocktails and dishes were at the very least looked presentable. With the prices being charged here, the food should be plated better than a dish being slugged out of a meat and three. We thought we saw a manager walking around the floor but he looked just as perplexed as some of the servers.

On my last visit to SC, at the recommendation of a family member, we decided to grab an early lunch @ JR Cash on a Friday afternoon.
Upon arrival we were seated right away. As we perused the menu, we waited sometime for our server, whom was also tending to the patrons at the bar along with tables. I’m assuming because it was just before noon they were not yet fully staffed.
We proceeded with our orders. I opted for the blackened chicken Alfredo with a caesar salad and a sweet tea. To be honest I was not impressed by the service or the food. While the salad was fresh and the warm honey butter croissants were well received. The blackened chicken Alfredo was bland and required me to add a great deal of black pepper, hot sauce and parmesan cheese to make it palatable.
Additionally at the table there was an order of a 1/2 rack of ribs and a 14oz prime rib both with loaded mash. The rib recipient was as equally unimpressed as I was. However, the prime rib seemed to be enjoyed.
Unfortunately, this was such an unmemorable dining experience for me that I didn’t take any photos of the food.

I used to go here for lunch. Then something happened to the service and they became extremely slow during lunch. I’ve waited over an hour for lunch on a few occasions and had to give a disclaimer of slow service for training classes so they would not eat here for lunch since so many people’s were late getting back to class. Recently, I visited and was surprised by the size of the chicken tenders. They were so small, almost like they were cut in half. I’ve never seen the lunch portion look like this before. They were seasoned ok, they just shrunk in size.

Visited for my birthday lunch this afternoon and it was SOO good! Service was amazing! Staff was kind and got us seated quickly. The waitress was attentive, but not overbearing. We started things off with an appetizer and ordered the Smothered Potato Skins and they were AMAZING! You get 4 big skins smothered in cheese and bacon, with a sour cream and chives dip.
We ordered three entrees: Cash’s Chicken (bbq chicken breast smothered in cheese with ham and bacon), loaded mashed potatoes and collard greens; the Fried Flounder Platter (3 big pieces) with sweet potato fries and a house salad (with a honey butter croissant); and a House burger with fries. Every dish was SOOO GOOD! Collards were NOT sweet, but seasoned and cooked well. My fish was PERFECT! Crunchy breading, soft and flaky on the inside. That salad and croissant: PERFECTION! Sweet potato fries could have been a bit crispier, but they were still good! My son’s burger and fries were excellent!
We will DEFINITELY be back!

First time visiting restaurant. We enjoyed the atmosphere with nice seating area separated from the bar area. Bar area was nice as well. Food was fantastic. We got the croissants as an appetizer. They did not disappoint. My wife got the soup/salad meal with potato soup. I got the chicken tender meal. The salad I got had the house dressing. I highly recommend this dressing! Thanks to my waitress Genea for the recommendation and the great service!

A friend & I just left J.R. Cash’s Grill & Bar after an * outstanding* experience. The food was great-fresh salads, delicious she crab soup and a huge brownie sundae (Get two spoons. & share!), and the prices were reasonable.
All of that was excellent. What made the visit outstanding, however, was Kylia, our server. Kylia is a people person. She made us feel welcome and cared for. She knew the menu inside out. She visited our table several times to check on us, brought drink refills when she noticed that our drinks were low, and she was personable and very, very pleasant throughout.
I love to go out to eat, and I do it often. However, this is the first time I’ve left a Google review about my experience. J.R. Cash’s Grill and Bar and *especially* Kylia deserved a glowing recommendation.

The salad came out very sparse. I said it is so small. Waitress said it had been a slow month and cut backs were made. She had some more eggs put on. Then the prime rib came. It was stone cold. It looked like it had been sitting out for awhile. Not going to go back.

I went there with friends and we all had fish sandwiches and fries. The waitress also ordered me a pomegranate lemonade and gave me plenty of refills. They have lots of food options to choose from on their menu. I plan to go back again in the future.
