This was our first time here. The steak and pork chop were good, they’re wood fire cooked so they were charred around the edges. I would have preferred it not be, but they were maybe a bit above average.
I think they’re really trying hard to improve because by the signage & the waitress asking they want input from the customers.
I absolutely love the decor (antique, old, rustic, old brick exposed walls & wood). I even loved how the restroom was done in tin & a loft sink( I included a couple pics of the bathroom, lol)
If you like cheesecake? Try it, because it is top notch.
We’ll go back and try other things and I’m looking forward to try the molten lava cake.

Aidan was an outstanding server always attentive and asking if we needed anything.
The appetizers were outstanding, especially the spicy cheese curds. The porterhouse was good. However, it did need a stronger seasoning blend for the outside.
I wish I would have ordered my burger, medium rare as it was a little on the dry side it was cooked too well done.
My only suggestion would be a homemade signature steak sauce. Also military discount is a plus.

Midwest Wandering
Not a good visit for 2 of the 4 people in our group. One ordered Elsie’s Chicken Dinner that was good and Alaskan cod was also good. We had two Jane Miller Filet Mignon one ordered medium well and one ordered medium both came rare. The server saw the cuts were red but didn’t offer to fix it. The steak came with a small side and it was not worth the value and if you ate it you will still be hungry upon leaving. The two that had the steak got sick from the meat. Don’t plan to visit again for what you pay it’s not worth it.

Everything was perfect! Angela and her team out did themselves! They were amazing and frankly out did themselves with customer service and just being nice good human beings! We felt like they all were family by the end of the night. They all worked hard to make sure the rehearsal dinner was one to remember. The food, service, and hospitality was top notch! My Wife and I tried J. Miller Steak Company and it was a win in our books. The rustic comfy atmosphere, service, and food was fantastic . The steak was tender and flavorful ” Great real Smokey flavor not the fake liquid smoke taste”. The seasoned fries were on point and the seasoned waffle fries had a different seasoning also on point. Not to leave out their white cheddar Mac and Cheese was Creamy and delicious.

Very average. The food is okay, steak is about Texas Roadhouse quality but costs twice as much. The service and appetizers are good. Would not have bothered on a review but we were charged $6 to upgrade to mac and cheese as the side, rather than a regular side for free. The menu is unclear and appears as $1 to upgrade. The server blamed it on a system error, and then didn’t take it off and charged the card anyways. I just looked at a review 2 years ago in which they complained about the same thing. The price is absurd, but dishonesty is unacceptable. Find another way to make money other than running a scheme.

We came in to have a family celebration for my parents 50th Anniversary. They accommodated us and took great care. We enjoyed the wood fired steaks, the bread with cinnamon honey butter especially. Our waitress was patient and attentive. Overall a great dining experience.

Valintines day special was 5 dollars off steaks. Our waitress did not tell us about this special and did not give us the discount. We only get meat and 1 side. Very small portions. I was still hungry leaving after spending over 100 dollars for our meal and a drink. We will not be back.

The staff was very nice.
The ribeye was superb, cooked to perfection. One of the best steaks I’ve had.

Went here for a date night last night with the hubby! Also have been here one other time and the food is amazing!!! Steak was cooked to perfection, bread was delicious, and just all around good experience. Highly recommend!!
