I was in Seattle visiting from Portland and a friend mentioned the Bob Ross Painting Night they were starting. We had such a great time! Was visiting Washington from Connecticut for a family wedding. The bartender rudely refused to serve me because my ID was vertical. She said they only accept horizontal ID’s because in Washington you receive a horizontal ID when you turn 21.
When I clarified that I was from Connecticut and we don’t follow that system she dismissed it as “even more of a problem” since our ID laws are “less strict.” The interaction felt unnecessarily hostile so I left and went to The Lime, where the staff were much more welcoming.

Love the host here on wednesdays for trivia, very friendly and always does a great job of making everyone feel welcome and included. All of the staff treat everyone great and their nachos are really good. Trivia itself is the best on the east side. Very old timey-cozy vibe.
