After finishing my work day I stopped a few mins from J&M wasn’t sure if they were still open because it said temporary closed in Google Maps. But I went over anyways and got a lb of beef, half slab of ribs and 3 leg quarters, and it was all great ribs were sliding off the bone, chicken was good as well and the beef. Great to know I have a place to go when I come through here and need protein.

You folks know I like little bitty sidewalk diners… especially BBQ joints. This place looks right, smells right, TASTES right, and is a slice of real live Southern Americana. Sandwich was large and juicy. Yum! Had some coleslaw which was very tasty. It’s made with the addition of sweet pickles… Now Im not a fan of sweet pickles generally, but I am a fan of this slaw because the pickles don’t overpower the mix. Had the most delicious piece of pineapple cake I think has ever passed my teeth. You can’t go wrong with this porcine palace! Also picked up some hot sauce perfected by the proprietor. Some mild, some wild. Get some! Oh, and don’t let the U-Haul outlet get in your way of some top notch grub for your feed bag.

Waiting on my receiver to open the next morning, they’re only open 3 days a week, got the rib plate. Absolutely amazing food wish I had room for seconds and I regret not getting a slice of cake after seeing the older black women roll through with it wrapped in plastic wrap and foil I know it probably was delicious like my grandma use to make it. BBQ pork plate was delicious. My sides included green beans (best ever), cole slaw, and hash. My husband had a pork sandwich and slaw. Everything we ordered was well prepared and the restaurant was spotless. The entire staff was friendly and efficient. We will definitely go back!!
