Visiting my son, he just transferred from San Diego to Naval Air Station Jacksonville. This is the closest restaurant that isn’t on base. Very unassuming, mom and pop looking dive with great food, friendly service and fair prices. First ate here on a Friday evening, had the stuffed flounder, son had the sampler with haddock, shrimp and scallops. Unlike other seafood places, you can get most offerings fried or grilled/broiled. Liked so much that we made a point to go back in a few days. Better yet, picked up some groceries at the nearby Winn-Dixie and found a buy one entree, get 50 percent off the second on the back of our receipt. Saved a little money and had a little quicker service on the following Tuesday. Highly recommend to anyone that loves great seafood and low country style southern hospitality. Will return on future visits with more family members, can’t wait ! Keep up the great work y’all !!!

My husband and I went here yesterday. Great customer service, our server Renee was awesome. The fried mushrooms were so good and fresh. I got the trio, fried catfish and fried shrimp and deviled crab. My husband had fried flounder, clam stripes and fried shrimp. Everything was good, definitely enjoyed our server Renee. We will be going back.

The food.. the service.. *chefs kiss*. Everything about this place was absolutely amazing. I feel so terrible I can’t remember our servers name, I think it started with a J. But she was very attentive and personable! Hard to get at most places. The bang bang shrimp was delicious and the crab legs were the best I’ve ever had in jax. We’ll be back soon!

I had a fried shrimp dinner at Trent’s last night. The food was wonderful. For you foodies, they serve real butter and real sour cream (Daisy’s, not the fake runny kind so many seafood restaurants use) with their delicious baked potatoes. I’ve had so many terrible baked potatoes in restaurants, but this was the real deal. The shrimp was cooked perfectly. Medium sized and very sweet (and not overcooked and tough like so many other places). Since I was on the road (I live in Tallahassee), I ordered take-out. The lady told me it would be ready in ten to twelve minutes. My order came out in exactly eleven minutes. Everything hot, everything perfectly prepared. My only problem with them is they are 175 miles away form my house.

Best seafood in town! I love the down home, family vibe at Trent’s. I’ve never had a bad meal there, have never been even slightly disappointed in anything I’ve ordered. Fried catfish is sooo good – perfect! I also love the boiled shrimp – seasoned so well!

This is the place you want to go for great seafood, home-like environment and great service! Most recently, my husband and I had an unplanned wedding rehearsal dinner on February 24, 2023 with almost 35 people attending for the rehearsal dinner. Micheal, a friendly server was phenomenal with making this dinner a memorable event prior to our BIG DAY on February 25, 2023. The food is always fresh and seasoned with a lot of love!
