The food is cooked to order and I can really appreciate it! Nothing like some fish, fresh out the pan. Nice and hot. The fries are just as tasty and the big cup of pop was enough to satisfy two people. I also tried the key like cake and it was good.

Interesting lil spot. Visit at your own risk. Seemed to be a nice town, but half the workers were polite and the other half…not so much. The chicken was pretty good. Definitely home style, but the sides (Mac and cheese and green beans) were bland.

The food is good! The lady that takes the order is not always pleasant unless you are a regular, and you can tell her regulars the building can use an upgrade and bigger booths and tables, but the food makes up for the unpleasant face. The food is cooked fresh as soon as you put your order in, and they give you a good portion for what you pay for. I love it.

Flounder and oysters were great. Sweet potatoes were not a favorite. Corn was not sweet corn but that’s a hit or miss everywhere. Love coming in with a smile greeted each time. Okra was a hit as well. Last time I ate here I had chicken and catfish. Both great meals.

You won’t find a better piece of fried chicken around. Some may say carter’s is better, but ive had carter’s. A few of their locations..and no one compares to J&Js! Their fish is fantastic and their burgers are pretty decent. I’ve been eating here for over 20 years. Best gizzards around!!!

We stopped in because we couldn’t find another place for dinner. We loved the food! The fish and shrimp were hand breaded and deep fried. The fish was a little dry but everything else was excellent! My favorite were the hushpuppies. OMG! They were the best part of dinner. Everything tasted fresh and made from scratch. If we’re ever in town again, we will definitely be back.
