Absolutely terrible experience.
We got ID’d, and then some random guy pretended to be ALE (which he wasn’t) and started assaulting us when we refused to show him our IDs. We didn’t escalate anything — it was our first time there — and the bartenders couldn’t have cared less. They said he’s a “regular” and brushed it off like it was normal.
The service was awful from the start, and when we called them out, the bartender got mad at us and refused to serve more drinks because she didn’t like the tip — as if she deserved one in the first place.
Unprofessional, unsafe, and completely unacceptable. Don’t waste your time or money here.

Horrible bar. The bartenders are extremely rude and I was kicked out because my “ID didn’t look real”…. I explained to them that it was real and was told to try again tomorrow. If I would get in tomorrow why couldn’t I get let in tonight? Rude bartenders and so many people have had similar experiences. 0/10 dont recommend. Any bar in charlotte beats this one. Save yourself some time and go somewhere else.

Walked in, got our IDs checked at the door. Me and my buddies walk 10 steps and a random dude we’ve never met before claims to be a regular starts pressing us. Yeah, I absolutely love to see that when i go inside a bar.

Got my id checked at the front by a worker. Then a complete stranger tried to check our ids right after. We said no because he did not work there. He was a regular and said he “helped out” around the bar. Proceeded to get very agressive and ended up slapping my friend 2 times. None of the staff cared and we eventually got told we couldn’t order drinks because we were not tipping enough to the bar tenders standard. Never been assaulted in a bar like this I will never be coming back.

If I could leave a 0 review I would. Imagine getting served 1 drink and going for second and them questioning your ID and then saying its fake. Absolutely ridiculous service considering I’m a bartender and I know the rules! I even went up to an ALE guy to verify my ID and he said they couldn’t verify it because its a canadian ID. How can a bar not verify an ID????? Doesn’t make sense. Even gave a second piece of ID to verify my age and who I am. Never going back to this place.

Drove by this place for over 6 years as I work in the area. Finaly decided to stot by for a beer. Chill and down to earth place. Very friendly staff and prices are great. Pool tables and TVs are there for you to enjoy. Good variety of brown liquor. My only thing is that there are no local beers. Just the usual. Didn’t have any food so I will have to come back.

used to come here for cheap drinks but racist and unwelcoming regulars (heard multiple people in here say the n word and make other remarks) so don’t come here if you’re a minority. i got groped here twice also- guy tried to put his hand up my skirt and slapped my butt, my friend had to call us a ride and get me away from the dude and he tried to follow me out and grab me. bartender didn’t do anything about it. not safe for women, minorities, etc. lots of the guys i’ve seen in here display biker “affiliations” and carrying too and it seems to be allowed. ♀️

Walked in with some buddies, they took my friends ID, claimed it was fake then cracked his ID in front of him by trying to bend it so much. Cops were called simply to get the ID back and resolve the situation, my buddies ended up getting banned for calling the police and getting their own ID back. Terrible service, very rude to some customers who were just looking to have a good time. If you like your ID intact, do not go here!!
