It started with the drinks. My dirty martini was great. My husband asked for no ice, but it looked like extra ice! The French onion soup was delicious, but very small for the price. The wings weren’t cooked all the way through, so we had them drop them again. Better the second time. Onto dinner. My main course was so yummy, stuffed haddock, rice pilaf, mixed veggies. The mixed veggies had baby carrots in it, not my favorite. My husband had the fisherman fried platter, no clams and it looked over cooked. Maybe they were upset we sent sent the wings back. Who knows.

The food and beverage at this restaurant is above average. The next statement is with all due respect to all bars and restaurants in the world: IF you serve alcohol to patrons be prepared to offer a snack be it a bag of potato chips or nuts.. you pick but it should be provided by even at cost to patrons of your bar. Even Air lines provide this. Bread and butter, crackers and cheese or chips and salsa. When liquor is served this should not be a heavy lift.

The older lady with the short fake-strawberry blonde hair sucks. Neglects the bar. Literally watched her ignore customers on a slow night to puff her vape. Doesn’t offer a menu when you arrive or even ask you if you’re interested in eating. Worst bartender. Hate it when she’s here. This is not a one time thing, it’s constant.

The service was excellent! Alex was very attentive and friendly. My wife had the Cape Cod Stuffed Chicken, and she loved it. I had stuffed shrimp. It was very good. It was rich so I didn’t have room for dessert. The baked potatoes we perfect and the Cole Slaw was the best I’ve had. Highly recommend.

JJ Grimsby is one of my favorite all American restaurants with a large variety of New England style food with seafood plates, steak, chicken, pork ribs and the absolute best clam chowder in the Boston area.
The servers are amazing and always make your experience a memorable one!
The place was just renovated a couple years back and the inside is set up perfectly with comfortable booths and a wrap around bar.
They have the lottery and keno if that’s your thing.
Plenty of parking with two huge parking lots.
I highly recommend trying them out for a quality meal at a reasonable price!
