The food is good. The lady that works there. The short one is extremely rude with an attitude. If you don’t like your job find another one if going back-and-forth is getting you angry and you put your frustration out on me. Find someone else to do your job I’m never going here ever again. She’s so rude her Customer Service was terrible today ( for you to own the place) you can’t get mad because you have to go back-and-forth if I forgot to tell you, I didn’t want plantains. Why are you getting upset? Yelling at me in front of your other customers because I did not want no plaintains. Every time I come there U tell you i don’t want it it’s hard and nasty. The owner has an attitude. She got mad and told me to leave my food don’t buy it ( in front of everyone) because she didn’t want to give me extra rice instead of plantains that’s weird smh never again!

I recently brought a plate of legume for my mother 12/31/25 . She woke up the next day with stomachaches. I brought some food from them a week ago I got stomachache and diarrhea, I wasn’t sure if it was JJ Gourmet now I can confirmed it’s the food from this place .

Food wasn’t good, purchased peas and rice with the steam chicken. The rice taste like it was cooked the day before and warmed up for the following day. I was disappointed.

If I could give this place 20 stars I would . I’m with my friend visiting her family and this was our first stop. They don’t have a sitting area but the amazing seasoned food makes up for that they give you so much for such a cheap price .. I paid $27 for legume , Diri Kole and griot on the side and again they give you a large quantity of everything. I’m Haitian and not every Haitian restaurant is worth it BUT THIS ?????? Is a must try

Little hole in the wall full of love. Haitian people tend to have bad customer service but with a little patience, you can be rewarded with a plate from JJ’s. Like I tell anyone buying Haitian food, please order in advance as my folk tend to be on there own time. I ordered the Tassot Turkey Simp and it was great. The pikliz is very spicy but sweet at the same time so you’ll be able to use t for the entire meal. Definitely try this spot. And the lack of five stars is the service, which is expected.
