The young girl working the counter was very unpleasant & rude. Kinda like she didn’t want to be there.. my husband ended up ordering the catfish not knowing it had bones in it and it was undercooked.. the man in the back fixed it for him with no problem my tenders were good tho!! The food overall is good just bad customer service from the front desk employee

This is my favorite chicken place. I don’t get the lemon pepper because it doesn’t need it. I just get sauce. The catfish is good. my kids get some of the sandwiches. The staff is always nice. It’s just about the same staff all the time. I haven’t seen many women work there. Someone said the lady was rude, but I think I only seen a girl working at one time, but the staff is usually like the same staff. There’s a couple of people that have been working there for many years, but this is the best fried chicken wings. Harolds on 127th and Halsted is now Harriet and they have paper posted up to their kitchen you can’t even see what they’re doing in the kitchen at least J&J you can see them cooking your food. If you’re interested. I think every service is not gonna be perfect, but they are really nice people really professional they try to get your order right and if it’s not right, they’re gonna correct it for you right then and there I’ve never had a problem in the many years and I’ve been living a few blocks away for 20 years. No overcook chicken no small wings. They have quality food. Say no more just go and check it out.

Just ordered 2 small Jack Salmon Dinners for $24.00. As of today I see that they have cut the jack salmon pieces in half, and is serving it as one piece of fish at an outrageous price. No more whole pieces of fish, you only get half of the piece of fish and it’s still considered one piece. J&J Fish & Chicken you have lost my business.

The chicken was so juicy yet not greasy. Philly cheese was so tasty . Filet sandwich med crisp fresh flavor . The food was actually made. Dipped and fried at time of order. Friendly staff and the customers seemed more like they were friends. 10 stars .

They went up on the price of the catfish nuggets meal, but it has less food like before. The fish was also hard, so it was difficult to eat. I won’t be buying from here anymore. I’ll go to sharks instead.

I tried large grilled chicken salad. It wasn’t very large at all. The depth of the container was super thin. They use a head of lettuce so some of the pieces were super big. The chicken is separate in aluminum foil, cut up, so it probably was 1 breast. I will say it was seasoned well. I don’t think I will go back even though it’s walking distance. When I called, I asked the guy about chicken specials, and he stated what we have is on the menu. Clearly, I couldn’t see the menu. He didn’t care that Im new to the area. That joker said you’ll see when you get here.
