Great find on the way from Vegas to Cathedral Gorge! We were on the road for almost 2 hours and hungry! Stopped in for a burger and BLT! They were both awesome! Fast friendly service too! Great prices for the meals! Wish they were closer!

Excellent burgers, fries, chicken and shakes. We drive the 50 round-trip from Pioche to eat here once a week. If I lived in Caliente Id have to work there because I wouldn’t be able to afford eating there everyday. J and J’s is very consistent too, the burger you get today is the same taste and size you will get 2 years from now. Stop in and try it, you will find your new favorite place to eat while traveling through Lincoln.

This is our families favorite place to stop on our hunting trips!! The staff is always very friendly and patient with the kids! Everything we have tried on the menu has been great! My kids will tell you the chicken strip basket is better than any where else that serves chicken strips! And the milkshakes make for the perfect snack to continue our drive.

My favourite place to eat in town! The staff are very friendly and the food was always extremely fresh and cooked to order. All the prices were also very reasonable and I thought this was some of the best value for the money in town!
I got their grilled cheese several times and it’s simple but incredibly good! I also got their fish and chips dinner basket a few times and I tried this at the other places and I think this one wins hands down. Best price and the fish is so crispy, the fries are amazing, and it comes with lots of lemon wedges as well as coleslaw.
If you’re in town definitely stop by and try these guys out!

I was in Caliente, NV for a few hours for early morning work. While on my way out, I stopped by J & J for a bite to eat and I’m glad I did.
There are so many enticing options on the menu. I opted for the limited time French Dip with a side of Zucchini Fries and a Strawberry Banana shake.
The French Dip with Au Jus was fantastic. Lots of great beef flavor in the moist, tender roast beef on a warm, soft roll that just soaked up that wonderfully rich Au Jus.
Zucchini Fries were fried to perfection. Hot and crunchy shell and an incredible tasting zucchini on the inside. Paired with J & J’s fry sauce, I couldn’t put them down fast enough!
I had read reviews saying the shakes were the best so I had to try one and I was NOT disappointed! Can’t go wrong with real pieces of strawberries and bananas! Chopped just well enough to have definition yet not get stuck in the straw.
Definitely stopping by for my eats whenever I’m in Caliente!

*Edit to respond to owner: We were there 3/22 and placed the order at about 12:20.
Food was great, but everything else was pretty bad. Waited over 40 minutes for a BLT, Kids Cheeseburger meal, and Cheese Curds. They weren’t busy enough to justify that much of a delay. They also should have warned us if there was enough backlog to justify a 20+ minute wait. The kid that took our order literally went on his 30 minute lunch and came back to work before we got our food. Nobody checked on us or updated us for 40 minutes. When they finally brought the food out, nobody said a word to us (no “Enjoy!” or “Sorry, for the delay”) and it was just an unpleasant experience.
Again, great food. Everything was delicious. But the experience sucked.

Good food! Decent portions for the price! My daughter’s grilled cheese kids meal was $4 and she couldn’t even eat half of it! I got the chicken strips basket and it came with chicken strips, fries, coleslaw, and a small scone! The food was hot and fresh! Good little small town fast food!

My daughter, Leslie, and I ate an early lunch at J & J FAST FOOD RESTAURANT, in Caliente, Nevada, this morning. She ordered a fish sandwich and I ordered the shrimp basket that came with fries, cole slaw and hot fry bread with honey butter.
We have eaten at J & J FAST FOOD RESTAURANT a few times since last summer. Today, the restaurant was being mopped as we arrived and the unpleasant smell of bleach lingered. However, everything looked clean.
We were greeted pleasantly and our orders were taken without delay. After only a short few minutes the waitress delivered our food to our booth.
Our food was hot and well presented in the baskets. I did not like the slaw but the shrimp was good. I especially enjoyed the piping hot fry bread! Leslie said her fish sandwich was ok.
Prices and serving sizes were reasonable. Dining atmosphere was pleasant.
We will eat at J & J FAST FOOD RESTAURANT again.

Haven’t been to J and J’s in several years but the service has definitely gone downhill. There were two young men working the counter and one was very pleasant however the other was incredibly rude and was arguing with customers. While waiting almost 20 minutes for ice cream two young kids who weren’t on shift came in through the back and made themselves milkshakes- the young man who was actually trying to take accountability for actions of others definitely needs a pay raise
