Probably the best shrimp and grits I’ve had. I got halfway through my salad and realized I hadn’t taken a picture. That was also fresh and delicious! I like the addition of broccoli. The salad dressings are made in house and very good. Two at our table had the fettuccine with chicken and said it was very good. Someone else had salmon and said it was very good and then another had the ribeye steak what she said was overdone. I believe that’s how he ordered it though.

I just wanted to share my great experience here. Hostess was very professional and welcoming. I was quickly sat with my boyfriend, and immediately greeted by our wonderful waitress, Sonya I believe. Nothing but kind words to say, she was always on top of things and gave off the next level dinning experience. She made our first time very memorable, our drink was never empty, it was timed and spaced out well, bussed the table through service, and was very attentive. We got the Ribeye Quesadillas which was excellent, a garden salad, and I got a Carolina Burger while my boyfriend got the bacon jam burger and we both loved it. I would like to give their steak options a try next time, and cant wait until we return. I wish the best for this business.

Phenomenal dining experience! It was my first time dining here and my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed it. We had the prime rib and it was delicious! Our server Carly was hands down one of the best servers I have ever had anywhere. She was extremely knowledgeable, efficient, and personable. Her kindness and attention to detail were unparalleled. The environment was laid back and inviting. I will definitely dine here again when I am in town!

When another restaurant cancelled our Valentine’s Day plans, we scrambled and wound up at J Hartman’s on one of the busiest holidays of the year. We were delighted that they were able to seat us, especially as what followed was excellent food and delightful service. Our server ended up being who we’d spoken to on the phone for call-ahead seating, and she was thrilled to put a face to the voice. When the bar lacked the olive juice necessary to make a martini as dirty as we requested, the owner herself came over to apologize. (The martini was still excellent!) And all our dietary restrictions were gladly accommodated, with insightful recommendations and flexibility from our host. We’d definitely come back!

My experience here was horrible. The food was so good I couldn’t stop eating it so now my belly hurts because I’m so full to top it all off the server was very nice and she checked on me quite often. No but seriously if your thinking about it try it out great staff and food is top notch

Really great restaurant with fantastic menu options although I was sad to hear they no longer offer the baked potato menu.
Their fried onion blossom easily rivals the one at Texas Roadhouse, if not better. I got the salmon. It was decent but honestly, I enjoyed the soup and salad more. The shrimp alfredo is incredible! That’s probably what I would order the next time I go. We also shared some potato skins. They are more than just skins as there’s some actual potato unlike other places. I like that!

Just wanted to leave great feedback to a place that always delivers great food and service. The ribeye is the best around. Salads are so big I end up taking some home to eat later. I’ve had several sandwiches here too and they are delicious. If you go leave room for dessert as you won’t be disappointed! The Hartman’s are a family running their restaurant together, putting all energy and resources into making it great, and deserve to be appreciated in how well they are doing!

My wife and I went here for lunch, and it was good. We were greeted and seated quickly. Faith, the waitress, was very professional and courteous. She also moved fast in getting us our food, drinks, and condiments. She came back consistently to refill our drinks and checked to see if we needed anything else. The food was great, and the environment was calm and relaxing. We were skeptical at first after some negative reviews, but we went to see for ourselves instead of listening to a bunch of “negative Nancy’s.” Me and my wife even laughed at some of the owner’s replies to the negative comments. They were hilarious and correct. If we have a chance, we’ll be back.
