JD’s is really good. We saw them while driving around and had to give them a try. We were pleasantly surprised by their menu and food style. We had been wanting fried fish for a while and was definitely not disappointed! Our server was super nice too. I liked that the food was more modest or simple and not overly seasoned. Will definitely go again! I think the atmosphere could be a little better. Our table was a little small for everything we had. But no big deal.

A true small town American dining experience. Truly amazing fresh food and is definitely all made in-house. Good, welcoming, and friendly service. They were quick to take our order and bring out our food. The atmosphere is definitely that of a small town classic restaurant fitting to the Kansas area. Overall, I couldn’t recommend more and is a must stop in my opinion!

I wish I could give this place 5 stars, it was excellent! The only reason I cant is the cleanliness of the restaurant. We sat in a corner booth, and there were crumbs and old food where the seat of the booth meets the backrest, and trash and old fries under the table that looked like they had been there a while. The other booths appeared to be similar. Keep the place clean and its a 5 star for sure!

Food was OK. Nothing to write home about. The fried chicken was good, but not any better than KFC. Green beans were terrible. They came straight out of the can, no seasoning at all. The French fries had no salt and very bland. Service was good and prices were affordable.

My gizzard dinner was not cooked properly and raw inside of batter with blood on my plate. Normally this is one of my favorite places to go but not tonight. Normally the portions are great, not tonight. I know that they have several different cooks and that makes a big difference. I’ve had exceptional food in the past. My wife had chicken and noodles and there was barely any meat in it. Even after showing the waitress the raw gizzards and blood she still charged me for my meal. Sorry JD but you blew it tonight! We will not be coming back soon, uncooked meat, told the waitress and it didn’t seem to matter because I was still charged for junk food.

This was our first visit. We both enjoyed the 4 piece chicken dinner. All of the food was hot and fresh. Chicken breasts we very moist and juicy. Staff were helpful and pleasant. We are looking forward to going back in the future.

Fresh fried chicken is worth the wait! The toys are good too. Corn is not fresh nor flavorful, I’d expect the opposite in rural Kansas, and the biscuit is just ok but those aren’t why I’m here.
