The meat pizza was really good!! That’s all we got. The large pizza is $4 more than the small and $9 more than the personal pizza. It’s the best deal to get the large pizza.
You order at the counter and they bring your food out to you. The lady who took our order was friendly. No waiters or waitresses. I noticed that tables are bussed as soon as a party leaves.
The atmosphere is nice but not extraordinary.
The reviews brought us there for our first visit. Our great experience will bring us back in the future.

Great pizza, even better garlic knots. Came here while visiting based off the reviews and it didnt disappoint. We ordered a small and that was plenty for and adult and a kid. Totally worth the stop.

I’ve ate here before and after going to NYC. The pizza they serve here is almost a 1:1 of the pizza there but without the stingyness of the toppings of New York Pizza.

While driving through Pigeon Forge, I was originally headed to a sub place that ended up being a total no-go—it just didn’t look clean. So I hopped on Google Maps, searched for another option, and that’s how I landed at J Dels Pizza.
The moment I walked in, I was hit with that classic, unmistakable pizzeria smell—the kind that makes you feel right at home, especially if you’re from New Jersey and know what a real pizza joint should feel like. That alone gave me hope.
Now, I came in looking for a sub, and that’s where things got a bit bumpy. I asked a few standard questions and was met with a lot of “We don’t do that,” or “That comes on the side.” I’m used to telling a sub place exactly how I want my sandwich made, not having to add oil, vinegar, mustard, etc., myself after the fact. So yeah, that was disappointing.
But once the food arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. Everything looked solid. I had to doctor up my sub with oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, and Parmesan myself, but once I took a bite—wow. The bread was incredible. Perfect texture, great flavor. The woman working there mentioned it came from New York (or maybe Florida? Honestly, doesn’t matter—it was good).
Pros:
Smells like a legit pizza place when you walk in
Clean, inviting atmosphere
Friendly and knowledgeable staff
Sandwiches came with chips, but they substituted garlic knots instead, which was a nice touch
The sandwich was really good
The bread was excellent—definitely the star of the show
Cons:
A lot of “nos” when asking about sandwich options
No deli mustard
Sandwich wasn’t cut in half (minor, but worth noting)
Garlic knots looked better than they tasted—needed more flavor
Overall:
Despite a few hiccups with the ordering experience, the quality of the food won me over. J Dels delivered on taste and value. I’d give it a solid 9 out of 10. If I’m ever back in Pigeon Forge, I’ll definitely stop by again—next time maybe I’ll try the pizza too.

I recently had dinner at J. Del’s Pizza and was thoroughly impressed by the authentic New York-style cheese pizza. The crust had that classic New York taste—delicious, rich in flavor, and perfectly cheesy. Visiting from St Louis. Went here because of reviews. Not disappointed at all. Walked in the door and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We ordered take out and while we waited we talked to all of the staff and the owners. We shared the differences between their NY style pizza and our St Louis style pizza. I have to say our family was impressed by everything we got. Pizza , salads, wings, and garlic knots. So good. I highly recommend going there and we will when we come back in town.

We ordered the large pizzas. They were huge! Hawaiian, pepperoni, and supreme were all great. I didn’t give 5 stars because the crust wasn’t anything extraordinary and we all were not impressed with the garlic knots. We ordered because of other reviews but we didn’t taste any garlic flavor in them at all and marinara tasted burnt or weird.
