I love J Christopher’s. This was my second visit, and my family’s first, because I recommended it based on the excellent food and business reputation. The food and staff were exceptional. However, our experience was marred by a concerning incident: a customer brought in a non-service dog, a poodle, which was licking off plates and cups. We immediately requested the waiter to get the manager. The manager came out and informed us that she couldn’t require customers to present papers for a service dog, and she could do nothing about the dog licking plates and cups. I found this situation highly disappointing and disgusting. My family has decided not to return due to this matter. Aside from that incident, everything else was excellent.

Great fun the omelette was so delicious and I could even get it with egg whites.

I’ve been going to J. Christopher’s for quite a while now, and until recently, I’ve rarely been disappointed. Unfortunately, my last few visits haven’t lived up to the standard I’ve come to expect.
I usually order the skillets, but lately the potatoes have been extremely dry, with some even burnt. The coffee has also gone downhill—on one visit, a friend jokingly asked me to pass him the “brown water.” We ordered a latte as well, and it tasted like creamer mixed into water—no foam and barely warm.
I truly hope this isn’t the new norm. I’ve always loved this place and what it has to offer, which makes this even more disappointing. It’s hard not to notice that the care and attention in the cooking just doesn’t seem to be there anymore. On top of that, the bathrooms were unpleasant and clearly not well-maintained. When the restaurant was slow, employees were sitting in booths on their phones, which didn’t help the overall experience.
I really didn’t want to write this review because I’ve always enjoyed J. Christopher’s, but time hasn’t been kind to this location lately. I sincerely hope they’re able to get back to what they once were in the coming year.

So disappointed. Was looking forward to an enjoyable breakfast and did not get it. Had to ask the waitress to take our order 15 minutes after we received our menus. Got our food and my order was missing the scrambled eggs which should have been included. Waitress never checked back on our table until the check was dropped off. We asked about the eggs and she did not know if they were included in the meal. Had to ask another waitress if they were included. Found out they were and off she goes no questions asked. After we finished our meal, the eggs arrived. Told the waitress we were done and would like to have the cost of the eggs removed. They could not adjust the check but offered a discount. Felt sorry for our waitress as she has not been trained any better on how to do her job. Usual $10 tipper. Tempted to leave no tip but went ahead and left her $5. Sad to mention this was at 10:30 in the morning and there were only 6 tables occupied. Not busy at all. Service was definitely lacking.
Better service causes better tips!

Found this place on google after stopping to get gas couple miles before this exit while traveling the US solo female with 2 dogs. Called ahead to make an order to go. Thought I would check to see if outdoor dog friendly patio. A southern sweet lady answered yes. So I decided to show up. Immediately upon arrival, a lady started to set up a tablecloth on the patio table before I was at the table. I was greeted by this southern pretty lady now learned as Ashlee (listed on my receipt). The menu had a variety of breakfast options which most importantly for me HEALTHY options and gluten free options for others. The service for my dogs was outstanding too. A bowl of water was brought to them. I decided to treat my 4 legged “kids” and get them a pancake and bacon. Food all around was yummy. Service was outstanding and most of all this place was CLEAN. I felt totally safe being here solo and it was so peaceful at 745 am. This place will be marked on my save to stop again next time coming thru the area. Thank you ASHLEE.

What a great experience! We stopped in on our way to FL and had a great breakfast. The owner, Kim, visited with us and shared some info about the area. This was an easy on and off from the highway and a nice change from the chain restaurants.

Everything was amazing and perfectly cooked! The pancakes were fresh, the omelet was delicious, and the orange juice had the perfect amount of pulp so it felt like it was freshly pressed. Our waiter was super polite and service was fast. What more could you ask for? Totally coming back!

I just received my food from this restaurant via DoorDash. I am so disappointed. I ordered the J Grits-Opher. The grits had little to no cheese on it and definitely NO jalapeño at all. I had to put butter for flavor. I could have saved money and order plain grits. Not to mention I didn’t receive my corn beef hash (no fault of the driver because the bag was still sealed). I did however speak with the manager which she did acknowledge the mistake of the corn beef hash, but I received a strange response regarding the grits being incorrectly served. To reorder would cost me more taxes and delivery fees and at this point I’m not confident with the results. This was my 3rd time ordering this and this time was the absolute WORST!!. J. Christopher’s you really must do better. This was definitely a waste of money.

We wanted to try something new and different. Immediately fell in love with this place. The area it’s in, the amount of space it has, and the overall vibes inside of the restaurant. It was very clean and spacious. One of the best breakfast places you can go to. The food was so delicious, we can’t forget about the caramel latte they made us. The servers were very patient and sweet. Everything satisfied our tummy’s. We left happy and full. We will be returning back.

I appreciate this locally owned restaurant, set just off the side of a shopping center.
Great service; it appears the staff enjoy working there.
There are some creative breakfast items on the menu, in addition to the staple breakfast selections. I enjoyed yeh San Bernardino omelette – but would make some recommendation to bring it from “just ok” to “very good” is simple: take a moment and heat (cook) the items that you put On Top of the omelette- and place them inside the the omelette where they will be at least warm and cohesive as an omelette is expected.
Now, I do appreciate a little visually appealing if some toppings (shredded cheddar and, of course, pico de gallo goes on top)- but the chicken should definitely be Inside – not in tip getting cold and chewy
The coffee is amazing!!!
The English muffins came out just warmed and kale- having ordered them toasted. Again, it takes just an extra minute or two to make to order toasted English muffins.
They did bring out some delicious toasted English Muffins
