Just encountered my first experience at J.Bone’s Barbecue. It’s the headiest spot in tour with awesome Grateful Dead, Phish, & moe. Posters on the walls. The staff was incredibly welcoming when i first walked in and made it easy to make a decision of what to order.
We got the Brisket, Pulled pork, Burnt ends, Spicy cheddar sausage, Mac n cheese, Corn bread, Pickles, Onions.
For a New Jersey BBQ restaurant I was impressed! The brisket was real tender. The pulled pork was good with their original sauce. The burnt ends were incredible and the spicy cheddar sausage left a lasting heat that was fun to enjoy!

I’ve been wanting to go here for a while now, and I finally got to try it today. They make Absolutely awesome BBQ! We got to sample the Pork Belly, Brisket, and Turkey! Each one was delicious.
I ordered the Brisket Sandwich with Cornbread on the side. The Brisket was so good!!! Their sauces are really good too.
And the cornbread was unbelievable!
Can’t wait to come back.

Great experience today at J.Bone’s BBQ! We tried a little bit of everything, but my absolute favorite was the Texas Twinkie! So much flavor, delicious sauces (I’m a sauce girl) and even the baked beans surprised me! Don’t forget the banana pudding!!! Even the liquor store across the street advertised for them, so grab your favorite BYOB and make this your next BBQ stop. You won’t regret it!

Maybe I went in with expectations too high but everything was good, not great. We tried the wings, brisket, turkey, beans, & Mac n cheese. Nothing impressive or surprisingly flavorful. In all fairness I ordered a little too early and got stuck in traffic so the food was sitting in a bag for maybe 30 minutes before I got to try it so it would maybe be juicier if I had it fresh on the spot. Bbq is never cheap but $43+ was food for 2 people without drinks. Don’t really have a reason to go back and try again when there’s better bbq 15 minutes away

So I just finished eating here and I can say this is some of the best bbq I’ve ever had. Brisket was tender and juicy. The turkey, the smoke flavor and tenderness on the turkey was by far the best I’ve ever had. The wings were amazing and the beans perfect. The flavor was a 12/10 on everything and honestly didn’t need the bbq sauce. Prices were very very fair for all the work needed to make such amazing food and the customer service was fantastic.

From the moment we walked in we knew it was an extremely friendly atmosphere. It was our first time there, and they couldn’t have been more accommodating.
We ordered the number #9, which came with 2 slices of their delectable mouth watering smoked turkey, four succulent ribs, juicy pulled pork and melt in your mouth sliced brisket. You came with rolls, cornbread, pickles, pickled onions, and some side sauces. For our sides, we ordered fries, coleslaw, collard greens, and macaroni and cheese.
Westfield definitely gained an asset by having this place in their community. They’re a very hard working crew who definitely takes a lot of pride in what they do. My husband and I will definitely be visiting, I will be passing this on to our friends and family and definitely having some catered events by them.

Last Friday my buddy’s and I ate at JBones. It was absolutely incredible and we had a great time. From the moment we started ordering, one of the chefs was offering us samples of turkey and burnt ends. Holy cow, the Turkey was soft and juicy and I may be in love with that sauce they use on the burnt ends. We ordered the Meat Sweat Platter, an order of burnt ends and some bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers (must have). Everything was fantastic. The meats were moist, tender, juicy and flavorful. The Mac and cheese was yummy and the baked beans were soft and tasty. The buns were soft and fresh and we each made lil sandwiches with them. More than enough food for three grown men who can put away bbq. The owner Jordan was super nice and even came out with a cut up jalapeño cheddar sausage for us to try. I only wish I had had more room to try more. I’ve read some of the negative reviews and I have no idea what they’re talking about. My only wish this place was closer, I’d be here every week.

We finally got around to trying J Bone’s BBQ in Westfield for dinner tonight after hearing so many great things about it. As big BBQ lovers, we often find ourselves disappointed—especially by local spots—but J Bone’s did not let us down.
Knowing they often sell out, I decided to pick up our order early and reheat it at dinnertime. We ordered the brisket, pulled pork, and a small portion of pork ribs. Everything was packed with flavor, but the pulled pork was the standout. The brisket was perfectly smoked with layers of deep, rich flavor, and while the ribs were my least favorite, they were still delicious.
They offer four different sauces, and to my surprise, I really enjoyed the Alabama white sauce. However, my go-to was the original, which complemented the BBQ perfectly.
For sides, we had mac and cheese and potato salad—both absolutely scrumptious. I’m not usually a cornbread fan, but my boyfriend is, and he said it was one of the best he’s ever had. I took a bite, and I have to admit—it was really good!
Good BBQ is hard to find in this area. The last place we truly enjoyed was Rodney Scott’s in Charleston, but now there’s no need to travel so far—J Bone’s BBQ is the place to go!

Real deal BBQ in New Jersey!!!!!!!! My family were all VERY EXCITED as we read the local news that JBone’s BBQ was coming to Westfield, NJ!!! We live dangerously close by too, about 7 blocks. So we were watching closely as they were started to build the location, with BIG EXCITEMENT when they were going to open!!! To give some back story, my family are huge BBQ fans, we travel the country in search of great BBQ, and there was no ‘great bbq’ in NJ before JBone’s!! So when we saw the news and read the story about Jordan, we realized we were very lucky! Fast forward to when they opened, we made it there within the first few days of them being opened, and it was love at first bite!! This afternoon my daughter and I went for an early lunch (about our 15th time ordering from there since they’ve been open) with plans of an extra treat because Sunday’s only they have beef Dino ribs (we went for an early lunch so they wouldn’t of sold out of the Dino ribs before we got there)!!!! We shared that rib, the flavor, the taste, the texture, the bark, the temperature of the meat, even the quality of the meat is great, not too fatty, were all so amazing! We also really enjoy the corn bread, which is not easy to do, his is not dry at all and perfectly flavored! Also, all of the sauces are homemade, my favorite is the ‘sweet with heat’ but they are all great, my daughters favorite is the Original! Also, a couple weeks ago we tried their new chicken sandwich, which is made with smoke then fried wings. SO delicious, a definite labor of love by the restaurant I am sure!!! All the staff that work there are very nice, and the owner, has also taken time out of his busy to talk to me a couple times. They also have a website where you can order pickup, without any fee, so if you know what you want you can order ahead. Oh I almost forgot, their homemade banana pudding is probably the best banana pudding I’ve ever had, it tastes so fresh and perfect balance of nila wafers and bananas!! I wish them much success and look forward to eating there for many years!! Do yourself a favor and go eat there or get food to go soon!!!!!

Came here to check out a locally owned business and left being a huge fan. I have had barbecue all over the world and even lived in the southern US for three years. This family run business is in the heart of a really nice main street of town. The food was incredible especially the Dino ribs. I was able to get a sampler platter and the Texas Twinkie was the bomb!!! The Alabama white sauce was amazing. I would probably put that sauce on everything if I could. If you’re interested in supporting local business owners with great food and service… you have to try this place!!
