The brisket is fall apart tender it tastes amazing and the prices are super super reasonable for what you get. The Mac and cheese was good. The service was above and beyond fantastic with great recommendations and friendly service. 10/10 would come back here. It only sucks that I don’t live closer

Having our wedding catered by J&L was the talk of the night! Every guest raved about the dinner, even packing up leftovers to bring home. Joel was so great to work with and knew exactly how much food to bring for our guest count. Every single dish was delicious, but the highlights were easily the chicken, the potato salad, and the corn break. I cannot wait to eat there many more times after our wedding.

A small restaurant with huge character. This place is nearly always packed. It smells amazing anywhere within a two block radius. Great menu with options for everyone. All the traditional meats are represented. Great side dishes, good portions, and very reasonable prices. The Cowboy Caviar was very tangy and refreshing. The brisket melts in you mouth. And, a little of thier signature hot BBQ sauce goes a long way. You won’t be disappointed.

Yum! Brisket was smoked and tender, & I wanted more. Beans were delicious, including the next day. Collard greens were done just right & I didn’t have any leftovers. He said the ribs were good too. Only 4 tables. Most people got it to go.

First time customer at J and L. I love BBQ especially mine ( 40 plus years of smoking food). 5 stars for J and L. Chicken thighs and pork ribs were phenomenal, favorable, juicy and just looked good. BBQ sauce was sweet and complimented the rub.
The amount of food I got for around $40.00 was way more then expected.
The resturant was clean and inviting with that addicting odor of smoke food.
5 stars plus.

Super excited about this place! How have I not been here!!! I have been missing out and found my new date night spot with my hubby. Cowboy Caviar is my new thing, where did it come from, because it’s amazing. Great flavors authentic feels! The meat was fantastic tender, juicy and their sauce well . . . . Overall experience was a 3/5 yet the food was not satisfactory as I ordered the 2 meats and 2 sides for $26. I’ve ordered this before at the Everett location before and have had great results yet when I ordered for the first time at the Snohomish location I felt robbed. One single brisket and half or even a third of the pulled pork portion I would get at the Everett location. I will say the sides were the only thing on my plate that was really up to standards from the picture displayed on their menu. Unfortunately I will not return to this location as I don’t return to poor first impressions on restaurants.

We finally found a REALLY good BBQ place in the PNW. I was raised here, but lived in Florida for 9 years where I discovered the real deal. After moving back here it’s been a struggle to find a restaurant that has everything I expect. This place has it.
Pork ribs were juicy and flavorful. Pulled pork was perfectly smoked and tender. Coleslaw was fresh, creamy, and lightly sweetened. BBQ beans were delicious as well. And the Corn bread with cinnamon sugar butter? Just wow.
The service was fantastic as well. Very helpful and friendly ladies running the place.
We will be back for sure! Do yourself a favor and try some legit smoked BBQ. You can thank me later.

Excellent pit stop for late lunch on the way back from a day hike at Lake 22. Super friendly staff. They serve cinnamon butter with the corn bread. I would have liked a little more meat for the price, but bbq is always pricey no matter where ya go! Delish!
