Reviews
I ordered a signature salad with salmon. The salad base was delicious and fresh. The grilled salmon was perfect! All the way around outstanding.
Service felt genuine and personal. Not rushed at all. It’s rare to have someone who makes you feel as taken care of as he did.
10/10 experience because of him.
Thank you Brian!!!
The short review is that the restaurant was clean, well maintained, they started us quickly, and the food was awesome. It was a little loud, but not too bad. I would recommend J. Alexander’s if you are in the area. Read on if you want more details.
Apon entering the restaurant I was impressed with the decor. It was very nice and clean. We had a reservation ave arrived relatively early. Even though we were early they were able to seat our group right away. It was a little loud at out table but not overwhelming. Most of us got the special, which was the Filet Mignon Medallions with a salad. The special came with Smashed Potatoes and broccoli. I requested to swap out the potatoes for the Macaroni and Cheese. The salad came first and it was excellent. The croutons were the best. When my dinner came it had the Macaroni and Cheese and the Smashed Potatoes. I took this as a sign that I needed to try the potatoes. I was right the Smashed Potatoes and the Macaroni and Cheese were great. The steak was done just right and tasted great. I would recommend trying J. Alexander’s if you are in the area.
To end the night with a warm carrot cake and chocolate martini. Yum
Definitely will be back for dinner and laughs wiith Jody
The drinks are a highlight of the visit—expertly crafted and enjoyable. The deviled eggs are a nice touch, though they may be a bit too sweet for some palates.
Unfortunately, the food experience was a letdown. The prime rib was notably bland, lacking any significant seasoning or crust, and was dry. The steak, initially served rare and cold, was returned for correction but only to be reheated, resulting in a burnt exterior while the center remained cold and undercooked.
Overall, while the restaurant excels in atmosphere and drink quality, significant improvements are needed in food preparation and management to justify a return visit.
The food is excellent. The serving sizes are large, even for the soup, salad, and appetizers. The ribs were literally falling off the bone. The Mexican chili con queso was a delightful mix of spinach dip and a cheese dip – I think this dip would be great with vegetables too. The Thai barbeque salmon was flaky, buttery, and cooked to perfection. The sweet and spicy Thai barbeque balanced well with the smoky grilled salmon and created a delicious experience. The broccoli it was paired with was a great palette cleanser – bright, with a lemon and Parmesan taste. The iced tea is made in house and is a real iced tea.
The ambiance here is well done. It’s bright enough to eat/read, but still provides an intimate atmosphere. Everything is clean. Even though there is a bar with TVs, it doesn’t feel like a bar – the TVs don’t demand the attention of the room. The sound panels are integrated seamlessly into the design of the building – this building is a testament to the passion and consideration of people who truly care. I wish we had had enough room for desserts – they looked amazing.
