My solo meal was wonderful, as has been my experience with all J. Alexander’s locations. The Steak Maui was delicious, the key lime pie was the perfect combination of sweetness and tartness and the Alex salad was one of the best I’ve ever eaten – I think it was the champagne dressing. So much so that I ordered another salad to go.

We realized it had been a while since we visited, since it’s always busy. But we made a reservation and finally made it back. Now we have to get it back into our regular rotation. Awesome prime rib, and get the Mac & cheese on the side. Excellent wine list.

Don’t get a steak if you come here. They definitely don’t know how to cook a steak. I got the steak and fries, ordered it medium, the steak came out well done. It was so dry, I hate being a bother but I had to send it back. They brought a new one out to me, this time I asked for medium rare since the steak was a thinner cut and I wanted to be in the safe side. This time the steak came out blue rare…. I just smiled and let it go, I know what goes on in the kitchens and I wasn’t going to make a scene. I just asked for a Togo box and cooked the steak at home. The fries were good… that was it. This was my first time coming here and I for sure won’t be coming back. Also, on a side note the reservation room, or room in the back of the restaurant smells like a litter box… not sure what that is about but maybe put some scented candles in there.

The service here was fantastic. I don’t think my cup got empty the whole time. The carrot cake was fantastic as well. Sadly I don’t think the quality of the food matches the prices but that is just my opinion. The place stays busy so I recommend a reservation.

We had exceptional service and food as always. We are very drawn to the romantic atmosphere. Best ribs and gourmet macaroni and cheese you’ll ever have. Our server was Corsica 224287. She was aware at all times as to what we needed. Very attentive with a wonderful smile.
