This J. Alexander’s location has upheld its reputation for the 20+ years my family and I have been going. The food is always excellent and delicious. The spinach dip has always been a staple item for an appetizer and the Caesar salad is easily one of the best out there. The chicken piccata was perfect. For the most part, the menu has been the same for years, but the specials menu always has something great. Sydney was a friendly, funny and sweet waitress. She was amazing! Thank You J’s!

I visited J. Alexander’s this past Saturday with my husband. Although we didn’t have a reservation and waited about 40 minutes to be seated, the food and service made the wait totally worth it.
We ordered the STEAK MAUI—a marinated ribeye with smashed potatoes—and the ROASTED CHICKEN, which is brined for 24 hours with crushed herbs and lemon rosemary jus, served with smashed potatoes, broccoli, and mac and cheese on the side. The steak was seasoned and cooked to perfection, and the special sauce added an amazing touch. The chicken was flavorful and tender.
Our waiter, Nick, was attentive and prompt, and our food arrived in a timely manner. The atmosphere was cozy and dimly lit—perfect for a date night or a small social gathering. The manager Diamond also stopped by our table a few times to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, which was a wonderful touch of excellent customer service.
Overall, I give J. Alexander’s a 5-star experience from Kyy! Highly recommend.

I thoroughly enjoyed the steak. I ordered the New York steak, which was cooked to perfection at the temperature I requested, and it was also butterflied and bursting with flavor, the same for the filet mignon my wife ordered. It was perfectly paired with a bottle of The Prisoner red blend wine. Both the food and the service were outstanding. We had dinner on Saturday evening, and our reservation was honored promptly, even though the restaurant was quite busy. I understand that the wait time without a reservation was approximately 45 minutes, so I highly recommend making a reservation.

Love this place for a long time, food has always been delicious and most importantly consistent. We had a great time because of our server Chris. He helped us navigate through the menu as we typically stick to the same thing and his recommendation of the crab cakes have become one of our new favorite things. To be honest the one star rating is generous. If zero stars were an option that would be more deserved. My husband and I live approximately 4 minutes away from this location and have visited, frequented with guests and suggested numerous times. I am exactly 2 months postpartum and my husband and I went to celebrate at our local favorite restaurant. Granted we have been in baby bliss and living within our newborn bubble but that got popped really quick! Jeremiah our server was quite frankly the rudest person I’ve been served by. We were hardly greeted with any positivity or enthusiasm whatsoever and after my husband and I placed a drink order, my very first martini, in over 10 months, prepregnancy, I was ID’d, which is absolutely fine and quite frankly the job of the server. It was the commentary and line of questioning that followed which ruined our night, dinner and altogether opinion of the restaurant. My flattery quickly dissipated after I was told “you don’t look like your id photo” and “you’re good at this” after reciting my address. Mind you I turned 35 a week ago at the end of February. Again I am 2 months postpartum so yes I do look different and it took all we had to make it on time to our appointment on time and unglamorous. It took all I had not to shed tears but truly made me tear up because I am aware I do not look as I did before pregnancy. I didn’t think I needed to be shamed by my waiter. He proceeded to be rude the entire dinner. All this to say the one thing we attend for is the food, was subpar, my medium steak was completely overcooked. Maybe think twice before going to this location, I won’t be attending again. I would even go out of my way to avoid it.

Must is the crab cakes, prime rib and stake and fries.
The burger is huge and delicious as well.
But my congratulations go to the bar tender with the best martinis !

I had a fantastic experience at J. Alexander’s. Our server, Nick M., was patient, attentive, and incredibly accommodating. Everything came out perfectly timed, and the food was spot-on. Our drinks were always refreshed without having to ask, and the dessert and cappuccino were the perfect finish to the meal.
Highly recommend-great service and great atmosphere! Seriously extra shout out to Nick.. he didn’t care how many times I asked for extra sauce or dressing! Amazing service.

It was our son’s 21st birthday, he had his 1st “legal” mule! lol My espresso martini (with a side car) was delicious! All food was cooked to perfection & we appreciated the birthday carrot cake! A real cozy place, nice atmosphere. went there with some friends, i ordered the roast chicken, portion was ok ; although the meal had no side veggies, Chicken was tasty, broth or gravy made sauce was not good. Chicken needs real gravy, My friends had the rids was a generous portion, the sauce on the ribs lacked that tangy rich taste. French Fries were shoe string; obviously frozen and cheap, very tiny and inappropriate for a restaurant of this standard. should make homemade fries, it would enhance the meal. Carrot cake was too soft and too warm and the icing was melting . It took the away the real pleasure of the cake.
