Very good experience overall – not sure why it isn’t rated higher.
Friends of ours recommended we eat here last night based on their experience. They too were surprised at only 4.1 stars. We were seated right away, our apps and mains came out hot, fresh and correct plus we never wanted for refills on our drinks. You literally couldn’t ask for more.
I would definitely go back to try other things.

This restaurant exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable—perfect for both a relaxed meal and a special night out. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food and service.
The menu was thoughtfully curated, and every dish we tried was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The ingredients tasted fresh, the portions were generous, and the balance of seasoning was spot-on. You can tell a lot of care goes into each plate. Izumi Sushi in Cumming provided a wonderful dining experience from start to finish. The food was exceptional—fresh, expertly prepared, and delicious. The modern atmosphere was enhanced by large TVs, perfect for casual viewing, and the ample free parking was a major plus. Our server, Kaila, was fantastic, offering friendly and attentive service that elevated our meal. Remarkably, our total bill for two came to just around $40, representing outstanding value. We highly recommend Izumi for great sushi, a welcoming vibe, and excellent service.

We got the angus roast beef pho and I expected at least eye of round – but it is truly roast beef sandwich meat. We got it to go and expected raw meat and not deli esque meat.

Izumi has great offerings for many different styles of food whether you like sushi, fried rice, noodles dishes, or just interested in appetizers/drinks! Izumi had my favorite calamari, very unique style of serving calamari and very delicious. I have been back many times! Their sushi is always fresh, flavorful, and definitely worth the price! I enjoy getting a Moscow mule, as the drinks are a great pairing with your meal!

I recently moved here and me and my boyfriend have pretty high expectations for food and we absolutely love this place. They have pho, curry, hibachi, sushi all my favorites! I have never ordered anything bad off the menu and I’m still ordering new things every time I come in! Everybody here is so friendly, the manager is great. 100/10 would recommend. The coconut soup is bomb.

The restaurant is designed in two parts where one side is very bright with large windows and the other side more dim and casual.
I ordered Shirmp Pad Thai and my wife had the Ahi Poke Tuna. Both tasted great but the Tuna was exceptional.
The prices are reasonable and their menu has a large variety of choices. A mixture of Japanese, Chinese, Thai, and Vietnamese.

I’m just a damn ole truck driver parking for the night at Walmart. Seen this place and I tell y’all what… EVERYTHING I got was on point delicious . Fast service no issues and that little hottie at the front desk is a little sweetheart. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m in town

This is a great place to come with family. They have an excellent selection of sushi, and we have been here 3 times still exploring the sushi options. What we also loved is that they have a vegetarian menu. Their salt and ppepper tofu are absolutely delicious. The best part was that they had some unique vegetarian sushi that my vegetarian friend could enjoy.

The food was good, although the portions were small for the price. We could have went to Kani House and received three times the portion for less money. The waitress was nice and provided good service. However, it was the some other person from the back that came out and tried to make my sister pay a bigger tip and even became argumentative and tried to say it was the law. I paid 20% tip on my tab and it was three of us at the table and they paid 15%tip but the Asian person(not sure of his position)wanted a $20 tip in addition to mines from them. He stated the tip had to be split between three people. I found this disrespectful and rude as hell to pressure customers to tip more because you don’t want to pay your staff a decent wage or don’t have enough customers coming into your establishment. He ruined my neice’s birthday lunch and potential customers, because we will Never visit again. Located in Cummings, Georgia.
