Busy on a weekend evening!. Quality service. Very kind staff! Despite being busy all of the staff handled the environment perfectly from what we could tell! Yummy food! Great 1st experience! Will go back and would recommend!

Food was amazing! Interesting concept for an all you can eat deal. Expensive at first look but then I realized I got my money’s worth. Ordering as you want makes the food fresh when you gets to you. Only issue is sometimes it took a while to get your order.

Really high quality food. The sushi is some of the best I have had.

I will be back.

Izumi in North Liberty is a fantastic spot for anyone who loves authentic sushi! The fish is always fresh, the presentation is beautiful, and every roll is made with care and precision. You can really taste the quality in each bite, everything feels authentic and thoughtfully prepared.
The staff is friendly and attentive, creating a welcoming and relaxing dining experience.

It was great! They do charge for a separate drink for kids as it’s not included in the kids meal. They won’t charge if you have 2 pieces of sushi left. Went for mothers day and our bill was $90 for 2 all you can eat sushi, 1 kid meal, 1 soda, 1 $5 drink special, and 2 beers.
Update 1/1/26:
its was great food. But the service this time was God awful. We were there for 2 hours, which is uncalled for. Took 5 min to be acknowledged, took 5 to wait for them to seat us. I understand there was a host that was trying to assist the best he could. Arrived at 226 and was finally able to order at 253, and we ordered everything at once. There were about 12 tables eating when we arrived, all ranging from 2 people to 6. Our first round of just the salmon and chicken with rice arrived at 312. Braylees chicken bento box arrived at 319. Our sushi arrived at 328. At 4, we ordered our 2nd plate. It arrived at 420. We were finished at 426 and asked for our bill, which arrived fast! They were NOT busy at all. I have searved and bartended for years. Honestly, if it wasnt for the good first 2 visits, I prolly wouldn’t go back just based on how long it took this time. Also want to mention that the place was not clean as it used to be. The floor was filthy, carpets need to be vaccumed and it didn’t appear that they had been vaccumed in at least 2 or 3 days. This is not an exaggeration, and it was the entire restaurant not just the area where we were sitting. The windows had hand prints all over them. The booths were also smudged with finger prints, not just our booth either

Stop now and go here…if you like anything sushi or hibachi! All you can eat for $30.95 and it was quality food, this place is a no brainer. We ate very well and did not have to spend a ton. My son enjoyed watching them make our sushi rolls and sushimi…all of which tasted great. Fun selection of mixed drinks and of course Japanese Beer and sake. This was a very clean restaurant and quiet enough to hold a conversation. Staff we all very polite too.

Went for AYCE here with my boyfriend and it was extremely easy to get our money’s worth. Sushi was super good (rainbow roll and salmon and squid nigiri not pictured) and beef udon was alright. The service was good despite some mix ups.

Hands down the best experience. We had previously went to the Cedar Rapids location and ran into an issue. When we went to this location we immediately felt welcomed and our waiter was absolutely amazing. He went above and beyond. Food even tasted better at this location. Before the check came they brought balloons so the kids could pick out which color they wanted. They make balloon animals and such, which I thought was pretty cool. Definitely worth driving to this location.

Usually I have a good experience but recently, Izumi has been disappointing me. I was informed the wait time would be 20 minutes over the phone when I ordered, which is okay because they were busy, but I arrived and waited 15 additional minutes while my food sat because the workers were seating people before ringing my order up. Then I was walked over to another area to pay for my pickup order. I get home and this is my food out the bag. Cold and messily thrown into the container. (Edit post owner response: I did in fact let them know I was there for pick up. I waited while they put my food on the counter in front of me the entire time, when I could have just paid and left. Regardless of how busy, I expect my food to be prepared properly, not thrown into the container, and I expect to not be ignored. People who came in after me were being sat while I still waited to pay for my pickup order.)
