Amazing sushi! Everything was incredibly fresh, and you really can’t go wrong with any of the rolls. The appetizers were just as delicious, especially the gyoza and skewers. Drinks were fantastic too. The staff was so kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The restaurant was also very cute. 10/10 Definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

First time visiting DC and was looking for a spot to celebrate an anniversary dinner with my boyfriend. We both love sushi and this place showed up on the list. Got there early for dinner and was seated right away. I love that they offered the Japanese skewers. We ordered pork belly, beef, and shrimp. All were amazing! We wish we ordered more of them. Also ordered the Gyoza that had pork and chicken in them. They were good but the ponzu sauce wasn’t the best. I ordered the Sake Don which was raw salmon with seasoned sushi rice. It was really good and filling. This restaurant makes a great date night and the staff were nice.

Super warm and welcoming! Amy took great care of us and even introduced the dishes proactively. The flavors really suit a Chinese palate.
• Tried the new Shrimp Lollipop (4 pcs) – shrimp was super tender!
• Tonkotsu Ramen – generous slices of beef, rich and flavorful broth.
• Portions were filling, and everything tasted amazing.

Service was outstanding, and the vibe was cozy with relaxing background music. Overall, a very satisfying experience—I’ll definitely come back!

Thank you so much!

New favorite sushi restaurant in the neighborhood! The crabmeat rangoon and red roof roll were delicious, flavorful and very fresh. Sometimes this restaurant runs BOGO deals on Uber Eats (and maybe other food delivery platforms) so definitely take advantage of that!

As a Virginia resident, I typically avoid the trek into DC due to the notorious traffic. However, knowing the owner of this sushi restaurant and his reputation for impeccable Japanese craftsmanship, I decided to make the journey—and it was absolutely worth it.

From the moment I stepped inside, I was welcomed by a serene and inviting ambiance that set the stage for an exceptional dining experience. The owner’s dedication to authentic Japanese hospitality is evident in every detail, from the decor to the service.

The sushi here is nothing short of extraordinary. Each piece is crafted with the utmost care, showcasing the freshness of the ingredients. The flavors are vibrant and harmonious, with the fish practically melting in your mouth. The rice is perfectly seasoned, complementing the fish beautifully.

One of the standout aspects of this restaurant is the presentation. Every dish is a visual masterpiece, arranged with an artist’s eye for detail and aesthetics. The colorful and elegant plating enhances the overall dining experience, making it as visually satisfying as it is delicious.

Despite the high quality of the food and presentation, the prices are surprisingly reasonable. This balance of affordability and excellence is rare and makes the restaurant even more appealing.

In conclusion, this sushi restaurant in DC is a hidden gem that is worth braving the traffic for. The combination of incredible freshness, exquisite flavors, beautiful presentation, and reasonable prices, all delivered with genuine Japanese craftsmanship, makes it a must-visit. For anyone seeking a top-tier sushi experience, this place is not to be missed.

We also ordered sushi/sashimi set and chirashi for main entree. The fish is very fresh and it’s more than two can eat ! This is a great place to enjoy Japanese cuisine. Their menu has many other tasty items. We’ll definitely be back!

My favorite sushi spot in DC right now!! They have the most creative and unique rolls!! They are quite filling! My top favorite are the Tiger roll and the Izumi roll. Have never had rolls like these!

The owner and employees are very friendly!
Relaxed atmosphere.

And you can get a free Mango popsicle, if it’s the right season!

I get takeout from this place pretty often and it’s always super fresh and the staff is friendly. Definitely a great spot for both takeout or dine in.

Update: I’ve been coming here for over a year now and the sushi quality + friendliness from the staff is still the best. My go to spot for a reason. They also have the best salad dressing. I don’t know what’s in it, but I need it by the bottle.

We spent $135 btw 2 ppl + $20 parking flat rate (is not available)
We tried to taste a variation of many dishes as we could.
Miso soup was good but cold
Shishitos the best we had tried in town
Edamames were bland and tasteless
The octopus sashimi was tough
Pork Gyosas were bland, nothing special.
We ordered the rolls number 2, 16, 17, and 18
Only the Bonsai roll was great, others almost tastes the same, nothing special and The siracha sauce was watery and tasteless, as if it had been diluted with water.
Even tho, everything was well cooked.
Service was a little slow it tooks them around 40 minutes to bring us the rolls After appetizers
