We wanted to try the savadoran food and this was random to us. The staff was patient as we struggled with our lack of their language but brought us exactly what we asked for. Food was AMAZING!!! It is an older place with tiny bathroom and tight parking- but just what we needed! Highly recommend and will go back when back in town!!

Pupusas are absolutely delicious here. My mom also loves their pan de queso which they sell in halves. Everything I’ve tried from this place has been fairly priced and consistently good. They also accept card payments now. Highly recommend!

If you don’t order the RICE PUPUSAS… What are you doing with your life? El mero mero means “the one and only”, and that’s how I describe Izalco. This restaurant is a rich taste of El Salvador’s best. For any pupusa lovers in the area, Izalco is a must. I don’t want to neglect the other fantastic dishes served here, another notable favorite of mine is the quesadilla, which is not to be confused with what an America considers a quesadilla to be. Here the quesadilla is a traditional delicious cornbread.
One final note is the disclaimer that currently, the RICE PUPUSAS are only available on weekends.

Food wasnt special. I’ve had salvodorian food and this was a let down. There was puddles of oil that would drip out of all the food. The service was slow as many other people mentioned. We were a table of 3 and there was no one else and it still took over 15 minutes to get our food. Dont come here if you’re in a rush. The food is mediocre at best. It’s cheap enough where I would recommend you try it once but dont expect great food.

Stopped in here on a whim. Was not disappointed. The food was fantastic. The owner was very personable and even gave us some free samples of Ecuadorian drinks. I will be going back for sure.
