A few months ago I ordered hibachi chicken that came with noodles. I thought the overpricing would mean better quality. However they were mediocre and nothing was special about it. I gave it the benefit of doubt and thought maybe they have a new/inexperienced chef on that shift who knows?
Today I ordered the overpriced fried rice and was far from satisfied. First off, this was one of the most TASTELESS fried rice I have ever eaten… I feel offended as a customer. Really, I would’ve just eaten white rice and went along with my day. Even additional items like extra vegetables and kimchi could not save this dish.
As for the sushi, the shrimp tempura was very underwhelming, even with my request of spicy mayo, which at this point I’m not sure if they even put.
Please save your money and go elsewhere from someone who spent $50 to be served overpriced flavorless leftover it seems.

Iya is a modern-looking Asian restaurant specializing in East Asian dishes in the Amherst area. The atmosphere reminds me of a more upscale restaurant, with lots of open seating and wide windows to view out onto the street.
The service here is very good, they were very attentive to our needs and brought the food out in a timely manner.
The food was alright. I think it is a little overpriced for the portion and the toppings we get ($1 for spicy, when it was only oil) and the portion size is decent, but a little less than what I would’ve expected.
Overall, it is a good place to eat at, but not one that I would eat at everyday.

I’ve been impressed with their food since I first started going in 2019. if you like fancy sushi rolls try the flying tiger, and if you’ve never trusted a place to make good duck ramen trust this one. I miss some of the old staff but it’s a college town, what do you expect! great great place

We showed up and our waitress was just not nice and did not care. Our food sat ready for 15 mins before she even brought it over. She didn’t give us waters, forks, plates, or the check without us asking for it. Overall she just didn’t want to put in effort and it showed. Now onto the food. The shrimp tempura was covered to the max in seed oil grease and tasted like a fried pointer finger. The chicken fried rice tasted like they purposefully tried to make it as bland as can be, and was missing a good coating of soy sauce. The chicken they used tasted bad and had the texture of rubber. The sushi itself was not bad but for the price it could have been significantly better. Do not go here, honestly for cheaper and better quality go to umass dining halls instead. The sushi is way better and the people are nicer.

Food was decent, but nothing to write home about. Service was sub par. Appitizer came out with food. Server was preoccupied dealing with customer she gave wrong change to.
If in the area again I would explore other sushi/noodle establishments before coming back here.

Our group had an early reservation on a Friday night. We all ordered different entrees – citrus poke, sushi, ramen noodles, hibachi shrimp, duck bao- and all very pleased. The server was attentive and polite. We will definitely return. Highly recommended.

We had a great experience for our first time! We would definitely come back.
We got the gyoza (wouldn’t get it again), spring rolls (really good), 2 sushi rolls and the beef Lo mein.
Everything tasted really good, the only thing we wouldn’t get again is the gyoza. But overall we are glad we tried and will come back again for more sushi!

I order online and there was an option to get up to 12 chopsticks and 10 soy sauces for free. So I’m like hell yea I’m broke I could use those. I pick up my order and get home only to find out there is two chopsticks and three soy sauces in my bag. Not even enough soy sauce to cover what I ordered. The food was mediocre too. Bet it is much better in person but I do not recommend ordering online!

I ordered the Jungle Curry off the special menu. The large chunks of pork were seared on the outside and uncooked in the middle. I have never ordered curry that contained large chunks of meat that had to be cut with a knife and fork. Meat in a curry should be fork-tender. I took a couple bites before sending the meat back. The server brought me a new curry, but this time the meat was so overcooked that it was inedible, and I left most of it on the table. Reminder to the staff: Pork should never, ever be undercooked. Good way to make your guests sick.
