I’ll start off with the service which was great! Everyone was super friendly and constantly checking up on us.
Sadly it only went downhill from there as the food was overall very bland and flavorless. We asked for the chili salsa which made our dishes palatable and gave some flavor.
I was honestly disappointed as the restaurant has such a nice atmosphere inside and we were hoping for some equally good food which wasn’t the case.

10/10 we will be back! They sat us at a booth and gave us chips and salsa right away. Each interaction with the employees was great! Always smiling and friendly.
We shared Arroz con pollo. It was so good! The side of guacamole went well with the chips. Very tasty.

I grew up around authentic Mexican cuisine and this place is spot on for flavoring! Multiple family and friends love this place! There are alway specials too! You can also order for pick up and the serving sizes are generous!

Ixtapa use to be my favorite place to go in Monroe. Not anymore. Prices are way too high for the bland food. We waited 40 minutes after our meal to get our check, we asked 3 times. Finally we walked to the counter and they said there system was down, Don’t know why the couldn’t let us know before. They seemed irritated with us. Not sure why, when we were the ones waiting. The staff is friendly.

Some of the best Mexican food I have had in Washington!
We visited today, 7/18/25, after going to the Ren Faire. I was prepared to be disappointed, as I often am by Mexican food in the states, especially this far north. Instead, I found the house special (No Name), and I was far from disappointed. This was one of the best things I have eaten in a long time, especially with the amazing salsa! The Christmas coffee cup reminded me of Abula’s house. The food did, too. I told my husband we would be eating there again, and I can’t wait to try the other specials, the queso dip(!!) and the Mole.
The staff was kind, patient, and incredibly hospitable. The art and atmosphere was welcoming and reminded me of Mexico. I can’t wait to go back!

I wish I had remembered to take some pictures! The service from walking in to walking out is what a business should strive for in customer service. Pleasently welcomed, promptly seated, ordered when we were ready, and great “friendly” service the whole time. The food was great. I had the Steak Ranchero, which was perfectly cooked and tender. My wife had Enchiladas, and she said it was exactly what she was looking for. Rhe next time I’m in Monroe WA it will be a place to go back to.

Quick bite after watching a movie in the theater (Yay!) we stopped in. Chicken taco salad for her, chicken soup (not on the menu) and fried jalapenos for me. Everything was fresh, crunchy, and savory. I absolutely love their soup, it is thicker using a brotg based on the enchilada sauce.
Wonderful, staff was super friendly (remembered us from over a year ago) and very clean and well monitored. Good to be ‘safely’ back.
