Always been curious and stopped on our way back into the valley from the coast. It was on a Sunday early afternoon – not too busy. We were welcomed and seated. Drink order (Shirley temples for everyone) and lunch choices taken. Food was delivered quickly and was as expected. There was a bar option but as we had (2) teenagers we didn’t go inside. We were too full and ended up not getting dessert but the photos looked good. It hit the spot for our craving of Mexican food for sure

I live in clatskanie so I have eaten here many many times over the years and have never once been disappointed or had a bad experience. Service is always excellent and food is always great and as expected. Don’t hesitate to stop in and try it. Pretty much everyone I know around here has nothing but good to say about them as well.

Great place to stop hot fresh chips and salsa is beyond good. Frosty glass refreshing. Dinner excellent steak asada cooked perfectly. Homemade enchilada gravy sauce and yummy tamale. Excellent fast service.

Yuck. Yuck. Yuck. Before our ‘food’ arrived, we both agreed that something around us smelled like rotten meat. The ‘food’ arrived and my ‘steak’ and shrimp fajitas was simply gross. There were 2 (TWO) tiny mangled shrimp looking things that I initially thought were mushy/smashed onions.
Whatever the meat was it was super salty tiny little pieces of something. Way too much salt/spice.
It’s borderline fraud and the two goofs serving seemed perfectly fine giving this garbage to me and expecting me to pay for it.
My wife ate her Chimi and said it was ok. But, the fajitas are horrible. I couldn’t eat it and when the waiter asked if I wanted a box, I thought maybe I should have taken it to feed to the coyotes but I doubt they would touch it.

Food is good. But, would be nice if they would ever answer their phones when someone is trying to call a order in. They definitely have enough employees and and are not always too busy where they can’t answer their phone. You gotta call over and over and over again just to get someone to answer. Happens literally all the time.

This spot in Clatskanie is a real surprise for such a small town. The food is excellent — classic Mexican, adapted just right for the U.S. — and the service is friendly and quick. The place has a cozy vibe that makes you feel right at home. Totally worth a stop if you’re driving between Portland and Astoria!
