The atmosphere at The Ivy is incredible. Fresh flowers and a beautifully set table. When my daughter and I first arrived for lunch on a Thursday around 130 pm the restaurant was half full. We were sat in the back dining room. It was a chilly day (55) and cloudy. They had the overhead heaters in and it was very warm when we first arrived that it was almost too hot to stay. Once we acclimated our glorious wait staff of 3 different servers made sure our glasses were full at all times and continuously checked to make sure we were OK. My daughter ordered the margherita pizza and a Caesar salad while I had the crabcakes and the delicious Caesar salad with anchovies. I have never had a Caesar salad with anchovies, which is the original way to eat it, and it gave it a very unique and salty taste that I actually enjoyed. I was not impressed with the three small crabcakes. They seemed to be over cooked and I chewed on a shell or 2 and that is why I give it 4 stars. Nonetheless, the remoulade sauce was delicious and complemented the crab cakes that were dry and crunchy. I can’t express enough how friendly are waiters were and when they found that we were from out of town, they took the time to give us really good recommendations on where to go. Our total came to a little over $120 for 2 people with tip know which was but also wasn’t surprising.

We came here with high expectations. We started with the burrata salad with beets and arucula. The beets were dry and felt like it was cooked yesterday and not today. The seasoning was tasteless. The burrata was a low quality burrata (we ate many times in Italy and it does not taste even close). The main course we had the spinach ravioli and the ragu pasta. The spinach ravioli was over oily and the spinach inside tasted strong garlic. The ragu pasta was tasteless (we fixed adding lots of parmesan cheese on). Who eat this food in Italy knows this supposed not to taste like that. We finished with the brownie which was the only amazing food we had there. Total? Almost $200. Is it worth? Unfortunately we can’t recommend and be careful with the reviews here.

I wish I could leave 10/10, and a great shout out to Juan at the bar. He is the star of the show. I loved the food and drinks, must try passion fruit martini. And service was above and beyond. Wonderful atmosphere with great relaxing music and flowers all around. Can’t wait to be back!

Nice decoration and atmosphere but the food was ok only. The waiter didn’t serve us the complimentary scones on purpose. Hope it’s not because of our skin colour. Super overpriced with this level of service. Worst experience

The place is charming for sure! From the service to the food! Wherever you look you feel like you’re traveling to France! 50 years back in time! I love the flowery ties! And food was great!

I have been to the Beverly Hills location a few times and would say I prefer there over this Santa Monica location even though it’s been open since 1985. In my opinion they have the best Red Velvet Cake I have ever had but it is overall the meal is overpriced for what you get. Also parking in this area is a lot trickier, your best option will be valet or one of the pay lots next-door for $15 for two hours. Our server was polite, although very busy tonight.

I am pleased to share my Sunday brunch experience at the IVY Santa Monica. Beautiful venue & strategic location by the pier, very convenient valet parking service, friendly and kind staff, efficient dining service, and adorable ambiance and decors. It was a lovely place to enjoy your Sunday morning-afternoon, people watching, and breathe the ocean fresh air. Food was delicious, well-seasoned, tasty. Drinks are fruity, generous portion, and just right hit the sweet spot on my palate. I love how clean and spotless the lady’s room is, how the floral uniforms the staff are wearing, and fresh flowers (roses) on each tables. It is a very cute spot for a daytime date too. I’d recommend the valet parking, totally worth the trip and time to dine here on a busy Sunday of the Labor Day weekend. ✨

This is an LA classic! This location has been here since 1985 and always amazing! There is nothing I can’t recommend on the menu. Whatever you order will be among the best you’ve had!

Atmosphere was nice, service from the waiters was very good, they were very attentive. But the food( $250 3 plates, 2 coffees and mix drink) was horrible, especially for the price. We had lobster with pasta, plate with fish with capers with a side of fries, and lobster club sandwiches, the lobster on both was overcooked, the fries were soaked in oil and cold, fish was also overcooked and dry from the edges. Food portion is too small and only one side per plate (fries). For dessert a banana split, a banana split from Dairy Queen is bigger, cheaper and better presentation than this one.
