First time visitors to IVR. We live very close and the reviews were great. Always want to support small, local businesses if possible. I am NOT an adventurous eater and I am picky, but wanted to give this place a shot. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED my beef birria tikka tacos with Mexican biryani rice! Great potion sizes! My husband loved his Coconut korma enchiladas with lamb. We then tried the gulab jamun for dessert as neither of us had ever heard of it before. It was delicious! Kind of like French toast, but not too sweet. Our waiter Z was very attentive and provided suggestions for us given we were there to try something we were unfamiliar with. Also, the restaurant is BEAUTIFUL! We have not been to this building since it was a different restaurant and the way it was made over is very nice! Excited to eat outside on their patio this summer! I definitely recommend giving this place a try, even if you are very picky and limited in things you like, but are trying to expand on the “safe” foods.

My husband and I stopped for lunch on a Friday at IVR Restaurant, and we had a wonderful experience! From the moment we walked in, the facility was spotless and welcoming. You can really tell they take pride in maintaining a clean, comfortable environment for their guests.
What truly made our visit special was the personal service from the manager. She went out of her way to check on us, offer thoughtful recommendations, and make sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. That kind of genuine hospitality made us feel truly valued and appreciated.
The food was the highlight of our lunch. IVR does an amazing job blending flavors from different cultures into creative, beautifully presented dishes. The fusion of different culinary traditions creates bold, balanced flavors that make every bite delicious.

Such a wonderful experience!!! Food was absolutely phenomenal. So fresh and delicious! Waiter was extremely honest and kind, even bringing me a complimentary drink! Definitely my new favorite food spot. Atmosphere is beautiful and modern as well. 10/10.

Every single time the service, drinks and food get better and better (which I didn’t know was possible!)
They have fantastic martinis- the espresso and lemon drop blueberry are my go to
You can’t go wrong with any of their appetizers! All are FANTASTIC! My favorite would be the honey garlic shrimp or cauliflower are my top!
Butter chicken bowl is superior

We started with the chicken malai nachos and the sauce was straight fire. Perfect balance, bold flavor, and executed flawlessly. For entrées, the curry chicken bowl was easily my favorite of the night—deep flavor, comforting, and memorable. A very close second was the tamales, which were outstanding.
Honestly, I cannot find a flaw.
We arrived late for our reservation around 9:15 PM, and not once did we feel rushed. They served us with the same care and attention as if we were the first table of the night. By 10:43, the owner even took time to come over and talk with us—class act.
The service was top-notch, professional, warm, and intentional. You can tell this place is run with pride.
Do not overthink it.
Do not hesitate.
Just go.

Love, love, love this place! We regularly frequent the owners’ other restaurants in the Milwaukee area, but we’re pleasantly surprised to see that this one belonged to them also! Makes perfect sense! As someone who dines at IVR almost weekly, I respectfully disagree with the recent negative reviews from Valentine’s Day. IVR consistently delivers outstanding food, warm hospitality, and attentive service that’s exactly why my family and I keep coming back. One extremely busy evening does not reflect the standard this team maintains throughout the year. Valentine’s Day is one of the most demanding nights in the restaurant industry. I truly hope that those who felt disappointed can also recognize the human side of hospitality the staff who showed up, worked tirelessly, and sacrificed time with their own loved ones to serve the community. IVR has built its reputation on quality and care. That deserves fairness and consideration.

Amazing! My mom and sisters went for our monthly lunch and we went greeted by Alexia at the door. The food was amazing! We had some pastie thing that I don’t remember what it was called & garlic honey cauliflower for appetizers. I had the chicken butter bowl w/garlic naan. All of it was phenomenal. We were welcomed to stay and chat as long as we did (2.5 hours!) and then Alexia brought us out a dessert – cheesecake – to try and to thank us for coming. The service made the food that much better, and it was already top notch. I’ll say that it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had.

My wife and I came in for our first time here and it was amazing! We enjoyed the food and everything was great! Our waiter Z did the best job and he was so well versed on the menu. I had some of his recommendations. We will make this place a regular spot.
