I had an amazing experience at this ramen spot in New Jersey! The ramen was absolutely delicious—rich, flavorful broth and perfectly cooked noodles that hit all the right spots. I was super excited to find out Japanese ramen and tendon place and it’s the gem!! I believe it’s the only place where you can eat authentic Japanese food in this neighborhood. First of all, they have great selection of menu options where you can even decide the spiciness of your ramen. I was little skeptical about eggplant dish since I’m not a big fan of eggplants but honestly, this dish is one of my top3!! Plus, their service is on top notch, I highly recommend this place.

My friend recommended this restaurant to me a while ago, and I don’t know why it took me so long to go… OMG, it was spectacular! From the moment we walked in, the service was excellent. The guy who served us was incredibly friendly and told us we were the first customers to try the new menu—everything looked delicious!
We ordered the **Signature Tonkatsu Ramen** and the **Tonkatsu Set**, and I honestly can’t decide which one was better. I got the ramen with regular spice level (if you don’t like spicy food, *regular* is actually very spicy! LOL).
Everything was perfect! I 100% recommend it—everything was absolutely delicious. We’ll definitely be back!

This place is literally a hole in a wall but it is actually decent. The place is small, cozy and limited seatings. We gotten some appetizers and a rice bowl and ramen bowl. It was good.

My Seaweed Tempura was SOGGY and CHEWY, the chef didn’t make fresh for the Seaweed Tempura, coz’ you can see it right there in the kitchen when you’re sitting at the bar the seaweed tempura was there already.
The portion tricks you with the plate behind the tempura [Yes, There Was A Plate inside your Tempura Bowl Don] and the rice maybe like 10% from the bowl volume
They don’t really give you sauce for the Tempura Don
Mentaiko Creamy Pasta was kinda blend and nothing in it, it literally just Creamy noodle, garlic chip and mentaiko ♂️
Ribs buns was blend, no taste and came only 1pc
Shabu shabu beef salad was OK, nothing special with bunch of white cabbages

We ordered Level 3 for spiciness and it was way too spicy for me, I can tasted the chili powder.
The Spiciness Ruined the Ramen flavor
I ordered Ginger Tea but didn’t taste ginger at all, more like herbs tea
Service was OK, no one really greets you when you’re sitting at the bar not even the chef
Overall was Not Bad, but could be better

A nice small and cozy place. A hidden Gem. A little hard to find from outside but look close its there they need a bigger sign. Everything that we tried was great. The Kimchi fried rice was amazing. The Ramen was perfectly cooked and the ribs in the soup were sweet, soft, and delicious. My favorite part is it’s BYOB. Can’t wait to go back and try more.

Must try the Signature ITSHOW Tendon and the set comes with yuzu tomato, light crispy tempura goes perfectly with the very refreshing tomato! The ramen is also good, the soup is on the lighter side. It’s just the tempura set is absolutely superb in comparison!

If you are looking for a change of pace in Asian cuisine instead of ramen or sushi everytime you go out for Japanese food, check this place out, Aunthentic Tendon, not actually tendon, Tendon is short for tempura + donburi(rice bowl). Don’t worry they have ramen too if you bring your friend or family and they don’t want to try the tempura. And are looking for something more standard and common. You can choose the spiciness and firmness or the ramen as well. They currently offer dine in and takeout/online ordering. If you dine in on a weekday night expect a wait or reserve a table(not sure on this but they have a reserve a table button on Google). Most unique thing I’ve eaten here is the yuzu tomato, try it.

A creative new take on all familiar tempura foods. They also got Ramen, Tendon and appetizer items like Gyoza, bao and chicken karaage. The karaage was really good, liked it a lot.
For entree we got the creamy ramen and signature tandon. The ramen was interesting, very different from what I am used to as Ramen. Taste wise it was decent, but I would probably prefer regular ramen next time. The unique tendon tempura dish was also fun to try.
Overall we had a good experience, but to me there wasn’t much hook to return anytime soon.

Love coming to this place! I try something new every time and every time it was amazing. The service was super nice. I love that the instead of pork belly slice it’s a whole rib.really changes thing up. And the broth for the ramen is tasty and comforting. Would recommend!
