If I could give it 0 stars I would , worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant , ordering was difficult , they were gonna charge me an extra order , they didn’t have the sides of my order , then the order took 35 minutes to come out and food was horrible and tostones brunt.
Cold tortillas , very greasy food , no sour cream for quesadillas. And plate was broken.
And expensive for nasty food

So I work overnight which is why I love to stop in when possible but the service is the most frustrating thing. The cashiers are nice enough but no one ever answers the phone causes me to have to go place the order and wait (15+ min even when they got no customers) making me take even longer to go home after a long 12+ hour shift. I asked why they never answer at night and was informed they stop answering calls after 3 am as people would place orders and not show up. Fair enough. So I started going only when I got out early. Well today was one of those days. I called 11 minutes before and no one answered. Wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, called again two more times and was met with endless ringing meaning the phones were turned off. Btw they don’t advertise the 3 am policy ANYWHERE but they do very well advertise they run 24/7 but can’t bother to answer the phone. I’ve now become a client of the diner down the road, they ACTUALLY answer the phone. If I get nostalgic I’ll just go to the actual banana king in Jersey city, thanks for wasting my time

Always love me some banana king! Good selection of sandwiches and quick bites items with delicious fruit shakes. Chicken sandwich is my favorite with a mango shake. Can’t forget about the empanadas! Cozy dining room with a bar style fruit shakes station. Place is open 24hrs which is great for late night treats. Highly recommend this place.

This place is very beautiful to enjoy with family or friends, it is the first banana king that looks clean and organized. I loved the milkshake and the delicious empanadas. Their staff is very friendly I recommend it a 100% this one.

When I first arrived, I asked the man at the register what comes in the children’s burrito, he told me the wrong items, once I got the burrito I told him that my son doesn’t like ketchup and asked if he could we make it without the ketchup and said they don’t do that,I would have to order a new burrito. No problem I ordered a new burrito, and sent the old one back that he didn’t compensate us for, on top of that my food along with my friends food was burnt so we didn’t eat our meals, he didn’t even give us any type of compensation or discount for that either. . Finally to top it off as we’re leaving and open up the press leches we noticed there’s a hair in it and we were going to ask to switch the cakes out but because it’s open they don’t do that. Horrible experience definitely do not recommend.

Before I received the order: I wish they had someone who spoke English, I believe I would’ve had a better experience. I would’ve ordered more if they understood & the music wasn’t SO LOUD. The Order: Who still services in a styrofoam container that burned through… who eats that??? Do you see onions? Do you see Swiss cheese neither do I…. I like this place. It’s fairly new so it’s in very good shape. Basically falling apart in other locations I’ve been too.
I think food is good. I never leave hungry or feel like I ate too much. Shakes a little inconsistent sometimes though. At times they’re amazing other times it’s just ok.

the food is lacking, lacking flavor, lacking appearance, lacking everything, the service is just as bad,, mindless zombies, the shiskabob that I paid $14.00 for was just bland, one shiskabob on a large plate and a dab of lettuce and one puny slice of a wilted tomato, I would be embarrassed to serve this plate any where, never mind a restaurant, I tried to order French fries, but this dude gave me a hard time about getting French fries, he didn’t understand that I would pay separately for the fries, no ,he didn’t want to hear it, you have been warned, do not eat here, would I eat at any BANANA KING, most likely not, I should have gone to McDonalds like I wanted to. I neglected to mention, if you take a closer look at the “salad” you will see the lettuce is turning brown and the tomato is not so fresh,
