I stopped in recently for a quick bite and grabbed a slice of pepperoni pizza along with a few garlic knots. Overall, it was a solid experience. The pepperoni slice was good — nice balance of sauce and cheese, and the crust had a decent texture with a slight crisp on the bottom. It hit the spot for a casual, no-frills slice. The garlic knots were very flavorful, with noticeable chunks of garlic that gave them a bold, punchy taste. If you’re a garlic fan, you’ll definitely appreciate that. That said, while everything was enjoyable, it didn’t quite knock my socks off. It’s the kind of place I’d go back to, especially to try some of their other specialty slices or maybe even an entree, but I wouldn’t be racing back the next day. All in all, a good neighborhood pizza stop that’s worth checking out — just not necessarily a destination spot.

We got pizza slices from the pizzeria. I don’t do a whole lot of pizza, but the pasta pizza was chef’s kiss! Fast and friendly service!

If you’re craving a pizza that surprises you, do yourself a favor and order the vodka pizza at Italian Village Pizza & Restaurant. This isn’t your everyday slice — it’s a bold, creamy masterpiece that hits all the right notes.
From the first bite, the silky vodka-infused sauce shines: rich, tangy, and beautifully balanced against a perfectly crisp crust. The fresh mozzarella melts into the sauce in dreamy ribbons, delivering a luxurious mouthfeel that’s both comforting and sophisticated. Every forkful feels indulgent, yet nothing about it is heavy — just outrageously satisfying.
The vibe at Italian Village is classic NYC — relaxed, welcoming, and unpretentious — but the food punches way above its weight. Whether you’re grabbing a slice after a stroll through the Upper East Side or sitting down for a full dinner, this vodka pizza is reason enough to make it your go-to spot. Add a glass of red, and you’ve got a meal worth writing home about!

Recently, a friend treated me to lunch here. I’d never been before, and we had a lovely time together. She ordered us a small “white pie,” which was quite a generous portion, in my view. And it was so delicious! : ) I had two or three slices, as I recall, and I was truly full! The service was fast, friendly and professional. (My friend perhaps received a particularly warm welcome, as she has been frequenting this place for decades, and just loves it.) As you may see in the photos, its decor and ambiance are inviting and pleasant. Grateful to have visited Italian Village Pizzeria; it’s a real UES gem! : ) My Best, Kat

I have frequented Italian Village numerous times. There is one thing Italian Village Pizza Restaurant has that many other pizza shops do not have is consistency. The quality and taste of their pizza is out of this world. When they put a cold slice in the oven to serve to you tastes brand new. The best pizza shop in the Upper East Side.

Omg, I got so sick…Profusely. I ordered a Vodka Tortellini with add on cheese. I had before once a week and it is usually very good. Tonight was different. I was able to eat only a portion, the Mozzarella cheese tasted off, chalky, like paste.
I ate for about 10 minutes into it when my gut started to cramp and make loud noises. I went to the bathroom, and the rest is history..I am so upset.

I’ve been dining here weekly for 6 years. I live just a few doors down. I came in this afternoon & before I could order grabbed utensils for myself & 5 guests. Instead of being allowed to order. THE POLICE WAS CALLED & I WAS ACCUSED OF STEALING 7 straws. I am APPALLED. I was treated like garbage. Easily the most terrifying & saddening restaurant experience of my life.

First timer for lunch. Tried a plain cheese slice because if they can’t do that right then there’s no point. Clean place, busy, attentive & friendly staff. Lots of room to sit in the back. Crushed red peppers were hot/fresh. My wife tried a pineapple-ham slice. She liked it. The cheese slice was excellent, a solid four star pizza. Took some Sicilian slices to go. Heated them up the next day and while not a “true” Sicilian pie it was very good. Again a solid four star slice. Solid NYC pizza joint. Give it a try.

A neighborhood staple for pizza, Italian Village offers other dishes as well. Specialty slices are $5 each. The pizza has a good crust, decent sauce, and the best part is that they don’t skimp on the toppings.

I love this place! It’s been 3yrs and the pizza is still amazing. They survived Covid-19 and still pumping out the best pizza in NYC. If you are staying in the upper Eastside of Manhattan you have to stop by and grab a slice.
