Until today , the pizza underbelly was so thin the pizza couldn’t be picked up so we sent it back and for the second time it came back exactly the same I asked if the pizza maker was new they said no so I said I’ll talk to the owner when I see him about the quality of the pizza they said he was in. a ,, Spanish man who I never saw before said he was the owner which i had never seen before I’ve always dealt with an older Italian gentleman and even discussed pizza recipes I had in NY I told him I didn’t think he was the owner, that sparked outrage on his part which sealed the deal on him not being the owner ,, an owner would never react like that the girl at the counter said go eat pizza somewhere else and I replied I’ll come eat pizza here and the man claiming to be the owner replied that he would call the police if I came back to eat , this there was a new young man working the counter as well who couldn’t stop laughing, this was so humiliating and unprofessional, never had I been so insulted and disrespected
The pizza, salad, and “hot cheese balls” were delivered as promised and we dug in. There were no mistakes in the order but we were a little underwhelmed by a few things:
1. The crust is tasteless except for being salty. On the other hand, it was not greasy.
2. The salad was clearly not tossed together. Instead the lettuce, peppers, onions, olives, cheese, tomatoes, were each placed in separate mounds in the plastic container. Kind of funny.
3. The “hot cheese balls” were balls of fried cheese. Mostly cheese and breading. Occasionally one of them had a bit of a tang to it, but there was certainly no hear involved except for the residual heat from the fryer – but that is surely not what they meant?
4. Finally, the dough was stretched so much that the center had a hole in it. You cannot see it in the picture, but those toppings under the white plastic thingy are sitting directly on the cardboard.
So, is it worth $50+ for the delivery? Not so much. There are many pizza outlets around this area and for the same price you can get better – or worse. So, I place this one in the middle and give it three stars.
BUT
Tonight, I had a delivery …. small pizza and side salad and was charged a $5 delivery fee and was told it goes to the driver. Ok … not so…. it gets split between store and driver…and the driver asked me to put a tip on my cc receipt… I didnt Like that at all… $5 fee was enough. I added $2 more so the owner, JUAN gets the rest.
This isn’t right
I won’t order delivery again… why does the delivery fee go to the store owner and not all to the driver? $7.00 on a $19 dollar order… not good
