PIZZAS You can really taste the fresh ingredients Topping Double Chicken and Kalamata Olives .
It’s perfectly cooked One of the best pizzas I’ve had ; The cheesecake was a bit disappointing for me. It seems to be made with Gouda cheese, which made the texture chewy rather than creamy. I think it would work much better with a smooth cream cheese, and maybe a bit more sugar, vanilla, and some whipped cream for a softer texture.

Such a warm and inviting location.
The food was amazing. Entrees served in a to go box…hint hint. I dare you to eat it all. Homemade garlic bread was divine. Hubs had a pizza, said best he has had in years.
I had Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, it was light, flavorful amazing. Daughter had lasagna, had to be good, it disappeared quickly.

The pizza was great — I went with the vegetarian and was pleasantly surprised by how good eggplant is on a pizza (who knew?!). The crust hit that sweet spot: not too dense, not too thin… just right.

We ordered two pizzas for two people, and the bill came to about $50. Our waiter was super friendly, and service was lightning fast — I don’t think we waited more than 15 minutes from ordering to first bite.

We sat outside, and it was perfect: great people-watching, warm evening breeze, not too busy or hot.

I didn’t know pizza could taste like that.

Mind you, I’m an American, and not from Italy. But there is just something about a perfectly balanced combination of bread, sauce, and cheese that really sings.

Our family started off with garlic bread, which was the first indication that this was going to be a delicious meal. And the marinara sauce… oh my! I need this homemade recipe because it is so good.

We also ordered a cheese slice of pizza, a pepperoni slice of pizza with a starter of French fries, and a custom 10” pizza (garlic sauce, original crust, bacon and basil toppings). Kid also got a Fanta Orange soda. (The pictures of the individual slices of pizza are misleading: that’s the same plate as the 10” pizza plate. Those slices are huge!)

A little pricy. It’s November 2024, and the total came out to $55.77 before tip. Now I didn’t notice they put on a gratuity of 20% when they rang it up, so I ended up tipping extra. In the end though, worth the money!

Photo note: the cheesy garlic bread is only one piece. It’s about six times as big. We forgot to take photos until it was almost gone.

For a real slice of traditional Italian food this is the place to go. They make their own dough and sauce everyday and the ingredients are fresh.

The pizza are great with crispy yet firm dough that is covered in real mozzarella. All their dishes are wonderful and cooked to perfection.

We had the pizza, calzone, Stromboli, Greek salad and several other dishes.

Everyone and everything was great and we look forward to our next visit. We got carry out but they have outside seating and convenient street parking.

The pizza and sandwiches here are absolutely fantastic! We don’t live in Northwest anymore, but when we did we came to IPK at least once a week or two. When we’re in the area, we always try to stop by!

This is an excellent restaurant!! Wonderful staff, bright/fun atmosphere, delicious food. I got salad and pizza. And I have plenty for tomorrow’s lunch or breakfast!! They are also very attentive and paid attention to allergy/dietary restrictions. This goes a long way for anyone but especially my family (sister is gluten free). Major props!

I definitely recommend!!

We just stopped in last weekend because we were staying across the street and wanted an easy dinner. They were busy but seated us quickly. The waitress was kind and attentive. Our food was quick and SO GOOD! Our family ordered two ten inch pizzas and manicotti and everything was excellent! We also ordered dessert to celebrate a birthday. Best cannoli ever! Fresh and so so good! We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in DC.

Ordered for delivery and the pesto-alfredo fettucine dish was almost inedible. Mushrooms rubbery and pesto tasted like it came from a jar. Sauce was overwheming and left unpleasant aftertaste. I forced myself to eat about half, was still hungry, but couldn’t stomach eating the rest. The San Pelligrino was room temperature.

Came to D.C. for a concert and this place was right accross the street from our hotel. We only tried the pizza and cheese sticks unfortunately because they were both awesome! Got a large pizza with the intent of having leftovers for after the concert, but we devoured every bit of it! One of the best pizzas I’ve had! It was a rainy Tuesday afternoon so business was slow, but the service was great! Might grab another pizza to go in the morning!
