When Giustino sold La Trattoria Di Abruzzo on East Ridge Road to new ownership, I was very disappointed at the possibility of never being able to enjoy his amazing cooking again. Ladies and gentlemen, Giustino is back… and his cooking is better than ever! Italian Osteria is everything La Trattoria was before the new ownership, but now in a scenic lakeside location. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is cozy, and the service is worthy of Giustino’s cuisine. You’ll recognize the menu from La Trattoria immediately.
If you haven’t yet given Italian Osteria a try, I would highly encourage you to do so. Now that I live in New York City, I come across Italian restaurants everywhere. I have yet to find one I enjoy as much as Italian Osteria!

We were very surprised with this little gem!! Had read mixed reviews on food/service, so didn’t really know what to expect. I would describe it as having a nice diner atmosphere, nothing more. But the service and food was more than memorable! The servers could not have been more attentive (honestly, they were great), and the food was generous (huge portions) and delicious on top of that. Our entire party enjoyed their food, including the great endless bread. Would we go back? Tomorrow, without a doubt.

It used to be my favorite, an exciting place to take my parents but now it is headed in the wrong direction. Cold bread…dirty utensils sent back…dirty coffee cup sent back…dirty, old, stained table cover…rubber band calamari…tough veal…when we complained the waitress said we were rude…We were offered another meal…this will be our last visit and we have been loyal to this special occasion restaurant for over 10 years.
