The spaghetti sauce at the Italian Maid is so incredibly good. Don’t tell my Italian father but it rivals his homemade sauce. It is a small restaurant and while some may feel the decor is not top notch and sophisticated it has a down home feel which we enjoy.
Everyone that works there has been super nice, helpful, and attentive. Every dish we have eaten has been excellent. It is my new favorite Italian restaurant. I prefer home cooking to chain restaurants…if you prefer delicious, fresh home cooking then this is the place for you. Did I mention the sauce is to die for? It is!! Yum. Check it out.

No wonder there weren’t any people in the restaurant when we got there, their food and service suck! First of all, the iced tea was old and watered down, then the salad has hardly any leaf all crunchy part, and their house Italian is not Italian by any means, but like a lime salsa, yuck! Then, the chicken fetuccini alfredo tasted disgusting, not creamy and delicious at all. After returning the plate, the replacement of tomato sauce for alfredo sauce was not much better, considering it tasted like plain tomato sauce from a can. I ended up giving it to my dog and not even she would eat it. To top it off during the whole time we were there, no one even offered to refill our drinks, or would have even known there were any problems if it weren’t for us physically having to stand and go to them to get their attention! This was definitely the first and last time I, or any of my loved ones will be coming here.

Ate there last week. Service was the worst I’ve had in a long time. I was the first (and only) patron when I arrived for lunch. Not only was I amazed a waiter could be in the weeds for the first table of the day (7-10 minutes to get a drink, no refills, more than five minutes to get paid out with two tables in the entire restaurant that had people), but when the back of house staff cooked their meals and sat down to eat before my sandwich was done, that was beyond offensive.
Spent eight years in the service industry, and I can’t remember the last time I was this dissatisfied with a restaurant, even a “mom and pop” style restaurant in a small town.
The garlic bread was dry and stale, and came about 30 seconds before my food. Again, I was the first table of the day, and the bread was stale. The sausage sandwich was bland, even with spicy Italian sausage and “grilled” peppers that didn’t show a single hint of caramelization.
Overall, dreadful service and wretched food. I’m appalled at the number of positive, high star reviews for this restaurant. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone, even someone I didn’t like.

300 Morton is not an Italian Restaurant. We were very disappointed as we were set for Italian food. There were no signs of life on this Saturday afternoon.
