It is solid Italian food. We enjoyed our dishes. It is not the best I have ever had, but, again, good.
The caprese was okay, a little under seasoned, but the balsamic was nice, thick, and rich.
The pasta alla buttera on the winter specials menu was quite good. It had punchy flavor, a little spiciness, and depth with the chili, sausage and olives. NOT hot, just a well balanced simmer.
The spaghetti & meatballs are classic. The meatballs were very flavorful and the red sauce had. Classic flavor profile. Lots of pizza was being ordered, so I suspect it is pretty good.
A nice area with indoor, outdoor seating with 2 canopy/awning areas and one out door uncovers section.
There were a couple groups that were seated while we were there, so they handles groups pretty well.
When you sit outside you will hear road noise (kinda can’t avoid it in Keys), but it was not particularly distracting or anything.
You will get a good meal, here.

Key Largo was our destination for a week, so we look through a lot of places and this was a charming spot: near to our hotel, with good reviews, and seems like a good food.
Food all in general is not bad, pizza is really good. I ate pizza in Italy, so I can compare and say that this pizza is traditionally really good
– pistachio cheesecake 6/10. Pistachio part is sour
– Lobster bisque 9/10
– Eggplant parmigiana – 7/10
– Smashed burger – 7.5/10
– Pizza 10/10

Why we would not come back:
First time we came it was shift with young servants, all happy, pleasant to talk, very nice. One gentleman even let us come to the pizza maker to watch how they make it in the real wood fire. It convinced us to try pizza next time.
We thought that we will come here for all week to explore more of their food, as they also have pasta options.
Also they had a live music, it was a gentleman playing the guitar and singing. Very atmospheric

The very next time we come back and order pizza, our servant was an old lady and seemed to be disappointed with us ordering only a pizza…. Then our 6 months old baby cried a little bit and we gave her food, she cried less then 30 seconds, but it was enough to make our servant stressed about it. We heard how our servant went to the next table near us and discussed with old couple, that’s good that we have food for a baby, so she will stop crying… I was shocked
Then she return and asked: how is the food, did you put your baby under control?
I looked at her and asked: under control??? Is it a problem that my baby cried few seconds?
She looked surprised and said : oh no, no. I just asked.

We took a pizza with us and never came back.

Dear owner of this restaurant, we don’t remember name of this “polite” lady, but please look closely, maybe some of your staff needs to think about retirement and/or passing some lessons on professional hospitality and services.

An excellent meal while visiting Key Largo! We enjoy Italian food and found this place on Google. My almost teen daughter ordered the meatballs plus a side of meat sauce. She is very picky so it is high praise that she would have ordered a second helping if we had let her. I ordered the chicken Picatta and ate every bite. It was one of the best I have ever had. I loved the crunch of the breading on the chicken, combined with the delicate lemon sauce. So good! My husband ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese which he also enjoyed. Antonio was our waiter and took great care of us! Wish we lived closer so we could go back easily!

I never write reviews but I HAD TO for Italian Food Company. I’m Italian, and originally from New Jersey. I moved to Florida 5 years ago and have yet to find an Italian restaurant I liked. I developed a lot of health issues over the years including celiacs disease as well as a dairy allergy leaving me unable to eat out much. My boyfriend took me to the keys for Valentine’s Day. With no reservation we stopped in and by chance they seated us. My boyfriend ordered us a TON of food. For starters we had bruschetta, garlic bread, montanara, sautéed clams, burrata prosciutto. For entrees we had a gnocchi bowl, a gluten free ricotta and prosciutto pizza. For drinks we had Sauvignon blanc and Chianti. Lastly, for dessert we finished with Nutella pizza, and I couldn’t help myself with two gluten free key lime pies and espresso!

If the food experience wasn’t enough, our waitress Nicole was PHENOMENAL. From her energy to her love of the menu, and even her recommendations. She never missed a single beat with our service. Between the vibe, and passion I could see in the food, and the fact that it was all made in house, I ate dairy and HAD NO ISSUE. The food is AUTHENTIC. You have to try the burrata and prosciutto appetizer and pizza! If you have health issues and struggle to eat out and are looking for good vibes and food that will make your eyes roll, head to Italian Food Company! We live an hour and a half away but are planning our next visit!

How would I summarize the Italian Food Company in one word? Wow!

First, the atmosphere is very cozy and uplifting. Second, ALL of the employees are hard working, smiling and kind- hearted. Third, the food? Every bite was an experience of different flavors exploding in my mouth. But… they say va picture is worth a thousand words…. so I took one!

Enjoy and don’t forget to make reservations ahead of time. Many people turned away.

Could not have had more fun at the pizza making class tonight. Every staff person made us feel like family – then shared terrific tips, tricks, ingredients, and hands-on coaching as we made our own pizzas. Bravo on a fantastic community-building evening and thanks for the hospitality!

This was a really cute Italian restaurant in Key Largo. There a several options for Italian in the area, but none have an atmosphere quite like this, and the tiki-style outdoor seating provides a very relaxed environment. The pasta dishes we ordered were all very fresh and tasty, and the service was friendly. I would love to come back and try more of their offerings.

Always great service and wonderful food! We love sitting in the turf grass backyard, listing to the live music while videos of Italy play on the big screen. The Sangria is fabulous as well as the beer and wine menu!
