So I went in today for pickup. A lady was approaching me, so I held the door. She needed change, and everything stopped. I had cash ready to pay, and they made me wait like 5 minutes til she got change. I actually had cash, mostly singles. No one else was there, and it’s like 5 employees. It’s okay shame on me for going. Bet it won’t happen again.

At least twice a month we order pizza. It was once a week for many years but growing children means the need for an extra pizza. $70 for two extra large single topping pizzas is A LOT, but my husband wants to keep supporting so we do, just not as often.

I know their pizza from the southside locations where I occasionally get a slice on the go during the workday. It’s definitely an old-school thin and crispy pizza that usually holds its own against any of the other traditional recipes in Chicago.

This place is a staple on Chicagos Southside for years. Traditional Chicago thin crust, and square cut tavern style pizza. If that type of pizza is your preference you will like this place. The sauce was distinctively less sweet than I’ve noticed on comparable pizzas. But their sauce was not bad. The cheese was standard but good and the crust was appropriately thin, and inconsistent or too thick in places. I had the sausage and cheese. The sausage was actually delicious, and perhaps one of the tastiest on this style of pizza that I have had. It was tad bit sparse on sausage, so for carnivores, extra sausage on your order might be a necessity. The service was top notch and friendly. The kitchen could be viewed openly from the front, which was kind of cool if you wanted to watch them work.

Think about back when you were a kid and how Chicago pizza came in the paper bag……this reminds me of that but in the box. I do a 90 min roundtrip to support this business. Literally my favorite pizza hands down! Tuesdays they have their buy one get one half off special on pizza! Only thing I wish is they were a dine in. But doesn’t change the rating on the food!

Top 2 tavern cut thin crust pizza. Sauce is excellent- not too sweet, not too seasoned. Crust is perfection, just a little char. Other items are just okay, so stick with the pizza.

Nothing good to say about this place. Went to the New Lenox Italian Fiesta with a friend from out of town who hadn’t had Italian Fiesta in YEARS, and was desperate to have some; however, this location TOTALLY BURNT our pizza! The pizza was super-nasty, and I was so upset and embarrassed that my friend wasted her money at this location. Not only that, the cashier put my credit card and cheese/pepper packets on the counter, instead of putting them in my hand; as if she would turn black if she touched me. Needless to say ——— worst experience ever! My best friend will be back in town in May, but we’ll be going to a different Italian Fiesta!

Friendly staff and pizza is so good. I’m from the south side of Chicago and it’s tastes just like the original on the south east side (71st Street Chicago)

Since discovering that this is the very same pizza I have come to know and love since childhood, it has exceeded my expectations every time! From the taste to great customer service, to the time and orderly on time. Has become almost a weekly fixture in my home!
