We enjoyed a nice meal in the evening and were seated at their back patio/terrace area that got a great view of the water and sunset (that also included a parking lot in the views, but it was quiet day so we didn’t mind). My favorite part of the meal were the pastas – we got a seafood spaghetti and a carbonara, and both were delicious and perfectly al dente. The pizza was also good, Neapolitan-style, as the pizza maker of the restaurant is from Naples. My uncle loves pizza, Neopolitan-style specifically, and the pizza guy came out to talk with us. Turns out he’s traveled all over the world to make pizza in different countries, including DC, where I’ve lived before, and worked at a restaurant I’ve been to many times in Georgetown. Small world!!! The owner is also from Portofino, so he knows good Italian food, rest assured! Probably the one item I wouldnt order again was the prosciutto and melon; the prosciutto was not super thin and bc of that it was a bit chewy. But my family liked it, so it’s just my personal preference.

The service was really friendly, food was great, and vibes were good with the views. It could be due to being a Monday, (also not many cruises being docked that particular day as things were relatively quiet on the island in general), so it was a nice quiet evening at the restaurant too.

I’d come back, and I confirm the Italian food here is really good!

Friendly staff. The cocktails were delicious. However, the lasagna was disappointing: the portion was too small and the taste wasn’t great. I even felt like it was frozen lasagna (though the waitress assured me it wasn’t). The tiramisu was also very good.

Loved the vibe here, super modern and classy but still relaxed. I got the Salmon Fillet and it was so good, cooked just right and full of flavor. Mash potatoes and sautéed spinach were amazing. Service was great too, definitely a spot I’d come back to in Saint Maarten!

We had a beautiful view of the sunset. The food was molto buono! We had the lobster bisque, lobster risotto and chicken parmigiana. The bread was absolutely amazing-so fresh! Mateo was an excellent and attentive but not intrusive server. All of the staff were very friendly. The only negative was that the portions were so generous that we left overstuffed because it was so delicious! We’ll definitely be back! Thanks for an outstanding experience!

Dear Alberto Manager,

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received at your establishment.

After waiting for 45 minutes for our drinks, the waiter recorded our order and requested that we confirm it. However, the salad was not served before the main course. The waiter informed us that we should have indicated our preference for the salad beforehand. It is customary for salads to be served before the main course unless the customer requests them to be served with the main meal.

Our meals began arriving one hour after we placed our order. The last main course arrived one hour and 20 minutes later. It was for gluten-free pasta, and we were informed that it was not available.

We discussed the service issues with Alberto. He offered to waive the charge for the drinks. We requested that he charge us only for half the cost of the food, given the subpar service. Alberto was adamant that he could not do this, and the service we received is the norm on the island.

During our two-week stay on the island, we have visited several other restaurants and consistently received excellent service.

Alberto has agreed to remove the service charges (which was appropriate given the poor service we received).

Please do not waste your time and money at this deplorable restaurant.

I always wait and go a couple of times before putting in review. We have been here a couple of times now and tried different foods.
Let me first say that the staff is always amazing! And tonight we had Naomi and omg she is the best!
Everytime there was “something” with the food and the manager “handles” those issues but he never agrees and always have an excuse. Plastic on your bologna is not really plastic and yes it should have been taking off but I told the chefs and it isn’t’t really that bad , risotto was undercooked, got a “new one” to bring home and when I got home I saw it was just mine but reheated. (I know because I ate most of the lobster and there was almost none in “the new one”) risotto never gets cooked good when reheated… when it went wrong in the first try it is over and done and yes, I know cooking!
The manger has to do the paying what for me shows distrust with your people and then when I looked at other reviews I saw that they are keeping most of the tips, wow…! Your servers are amazing and should be getting ALL tip, because they are working there butts off making it special while management sucks! After tonight we are not coming back! Sucks because we live close and love FRESH Italian food…

We’ve eaten here for years but 2026 was horrible. We tried it twice and confirmed it sucks. Food is overly salty (salad and bread). Pizza wasn’t cooked enough, eggplant parm was a little soggy and service stinks. We watched a couple sit down at the bar for 15 minutes and was never acknowledged by the bartender who is also the manager (see other reviews about him). They finally got up and left. The place used to be packed And you always needed a reservation but not anymore. The is sad and empty. Word is getting around the island that it’s not what he used to be 🙁

We had a reservation for 730 and were seated promptly, however that was the end of it. We had to flag a waiter down to simply get menus. Ended up waiting for 30 minutes just to get our drinks. Then another hour for most of our food order. All meals were served with the exception of one. When asked where the last meal was the manger got angry and said that pasta takes time to make. Keep in mind that at this point 2 hours had past.

The pizzas were truly awful absolutely swimming in pizza sauce, you couldn’t even pick up a slice.

The chicken was bland and rubbery. To top it off the pasta that apparently takes over an hour to prepare was dry and salty.

When voicing our concerns the “manager” threw his hands in the air and walked away.

We’ve eaten here many times over the last few years and it has been excellent. This time the food was just okay; would have been three stars except the meatballs were terrific so I gave the food a 4 star rating. If you order pizza ask for it well done or the crust is a little soggy.
The atmosphere: the room temperature was uncomfortably hot. They appeared to be short staffed and the staff that was working did not appear to be working well as a team. You could sense the tension.
I overheard from another customer that the employees do not receive the service charge that is automatically added to the bill. I cannot verify if this is true, but it might explain the atmosphere.
